\tAccounts Payable Specialist II is a dynamic and figure orientated individual responsible for the accounts payable activities within the Africa AP\/Procurement function.
\n\tReporting to the Manager – Accounts Payable, this goal orientated, driven and innovative individual will navigate a multicultural and highly competitive environment while partnering with a number of internal customers and suppliers to ensure that the accounts payable function operates in a way that exceeds expectations.<\/p>\n

\tThe Finance Team operates in a vibrant, fast-paced and demanding performance-based environment. With multiple reporting lines to the headquarters based in Chicago as well as locally, deadlines are highly pressurized and non-negotiable.

\n\tThe team considers external factors which will influence the work environment as well as future conditions to ensure effective strategies. The accounts payable team operates in multiple countries across Africa.<\/p>\n
What You’ll Bring:<\/p>\n
\tWe’re seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist II to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tReview and reconcile accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
\n\tPrepare journals, ensuring correct accounting treatment
\n\tMaintain excellent relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders
\n\tUtilize advanced Excel skills to track, analyze, and report on accounts payable data
\n\tManagement of credit card applications & reconciliations
\n\tPreparation of manual & forex payments for review
\n\tStay up to date with company policies<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
\n\tProven experience in accounts payable functions, with a strong understanding of accounting principles
\n\tExcellent Excel skills, with ability to prepare recons and reports timeously
\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
\n\tPrior supervisory experience (advantageous)
\n\tProcurement & B-BBEE reporting experience (advantageous)
\n\tCoupa & PeopleSoft experience (advantageous)<\/p>\n
