\t\u00a0To provide teaching and learning services as well as a research function.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
Teaching and Learning<\/p>\n
\tTeaching assigned classes according to the NWU teaching and learning strategies.<\/p>\n
Research<\/p>\n
\tResearch activities to be discussed with research programme leader and director.<\/p>\n
Community Engagement<\/p>\n
\tActively contribute to community engagement projects as part of School of Accounting Sciences.<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements<\/p>\n
\tAn MCom degree (NQF Level 9) in Accountancy.
\n\tA minimum of three (3) years\u2019 experience in teaching accounting.
\n\tA minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the field as an accountant is desirable.
\n\tAccreditation with SAIPA\/ACCA or SAICA as an AGA(SA).<\/p>\n
KEY FUNCTIONAL\/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:<\/p>\n
\tA working knowledge of essential technical competencies required in the field of accounting.
\n\tKnowledge of working with students, handling large classes, setting of assessments.
\n\tKnowledge of the process of research and an eagerness to conduct research.
\n\tInterest in community service.
\n\tAdvanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
\n\tKnowledge of Accounting-related software packages.
\n\tDemonstration of language proficiency to function optimally in the multilingual environment of the NWU.<\/p>\n
