Purpose of the Job<\/p>\n
\tAs a Senior Project Manager at GBS Holdings, you will take ownership of complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through to successful delivery. You will apply advanced project management and business analysis skills to shape project scopes, develop business cases, and ensure that all solutions align with company goals. You will lead the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, testing, deployment, and post-implementation review\u2014using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies where appropriate.
\n\tThis is a hands-on role requiring leadership, strategic insight, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, resources, and competing priorities to deliver business value.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tLead and manage the full lifecycle of strategic projects across multiple departments
\n\tCoordinate internal teams and third-party vendors for successful project delivery
\n\tEnsure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
\n\tDrive the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
\n\tAllocate and manage project resources efficiently
\n\tDevelop and monitor comprehensive project plans and schedules
\n\tManage project scope, timelines, and budgets through change control processes
\n\tTrack and report project performance using appropriate tools and KPIs
\n\tConduct functional and user acceptance testing to validate solutions
\n\tIdentify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively
\n\tBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
\n\tEnsure all documentation is up-to-date and audit-ready
\n\tProvide mentoring and guidance to junior project staff
\n\tConduct regular reviews to assess project progress and implement improvements
\n\tOversee post-project evaluations and ensure knowledge transfer
\n\tAttend industry events and training to stay current with best practices
\n\tPerform other related duties as required by the business<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMatric (Grade 12)
\n\tA relevant degree or diploma
\n\tPMP \/ PRINCE2 certification is highly advantageous
\n\tMinimum 5 years\u2019 experience in project management, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role
\n\tExperience with business analysis and stakeholder engagement at a senior level
\n\tProficiency in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project methodologies
\n\tStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools<\/p>\n
