Job Description<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant with expertise in Public Financial Management Act (PFMA) and audit readiness. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with PFMA regulations and preparing the organization for audits.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with PFMA regulations.
\n\tMonitor and analyze financial transactions to identify any discrepancies or errors.
\n\tPrepare financial statements and reports in accordance with PFMA requirements.
\n\tCoordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure audit readiness.
\n\tConduct regular internal audits to identify and address any issues.
\n\tProvide training and support to other staff members on PFMA regulations and audit readiness.
\n\tIdentify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance financial management processes.
\n\tStay up-to-date on changes to PFMA regulations and ensure compliance within the organization.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or similar certification preferred.
\n\tMinimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a public sector organization.
\n\tIn-depth knowledge of PFMA regulations and audit processes.
\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\n\tExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
\n\tAbility to work independently and in a team environment.
\n\tProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.<\/p>\n
