The Role:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure general accounting is managed in accordance with accounting principles and comply with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards. Ensure compliance with IFRS, local legislation and Sandvik processes and regulations in the general accounting area.
\n\tThe candidate will provide support to the Finance Manager by performing operational finance functions across all reporting and legal entities.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tIs responsible for developing the ways of working in the general accounting area
\n\tReview and manage financial reports and accounting statements to ensure their accuracy
\n\tPerforms general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts
\n\tManage internal and external audits
\n\tPrepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles
\n\tProvides financial control support to Business control on forecasting activities and BPC reporting
\n\tPrepares separate and consolidated financial statements for the group
\n\tPrepare technical opinions on complex accounting matters
\n\tSupport the tax department on financial information and tax submissions
\n\tMaintain the fixed asset register and all related systems and policies thereof<\/p>\n
Your Profile:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in accounting with CTA\u00a0
\n\tCA(SA) (Essential)\u00a0
\n\t1-3 Years post article experience\u00a0
\n\tExperience working in a matrix environment (Advantageous)\u00a0
\n\tEnglish proficiency
\n\tProfessional, energetic, dynamic and positive team player with great business acumen
\n\tAbility to work well within a high-pressure environment
\n\tMust be able to liaise on all levels in the organisation
\n\tWilling to work extended hours during financial reporting cycles as well as during ad hoc reporting periods.<\/p>\n
