KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS<\/p>\n
Design Development and Management<\/p>\n
\tEnsure the complete design process is followed and designs are produced on time
\n\tCompile and review industrial designs through all phases of design development (concept, basic and detailed design)
\n\tPerform and review thermal hydraulic system-based analyses
\n\tGenerate and review P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)
\n\tDevelop comprehensive design reports
\n\tEnsure assigned designs are technically correct and comply with appropriate codes and standards<\/p>\n
Equipment and System Design<\/p>\n
\tSize equipment including pumps, heat exchangers, tanks, compressors and related mechanical systems
\n\tConduct 3-D model reviews for plant and piping systems
\n\tSelect and qualify materials for piping systems
\n\tGenerate and review pipeline lists, valve lists and equipment lists
\n\tGenerate testing and commissioning specifications
\n\tCommission systems after construction completion<\/p>\n
Procurement and Vendor Management<\/p>\n
\tGenerate and review Procurement Technical Specifications
\n\tAdjudicate supplier offers and evaluate technical proposals
\n\tProvide input to tender processes and development of design concepts including workload estimation<\/p>\n
Project Coordination and Interface Management<\/p>\n
\tInterface effectively with other Engineering Disciplines (Electrical, C&I, Civil and Structural)
\n\tInterface with Project team members including Project Engineers, Managers, QA, and procurement teams
\n\tProvide inputs into project planning and ensure team adherence to project plans
\n\tEnsure scope control on allocated designs in accordance with project requirements<\/p>\n
Quality Assurance and Site Activities<\/p>\n
\tPerform site inspections and technical signoffs
\n\tConduct quality reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards
\n\tMaintain strong interpersonal relationships with clients and internal stakeholders<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATION<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
\n\tECSA registration or candidate status (preferable)<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 5 years post-qualification industrial plant design experience
\n\tMining Process and Power Generation industry experience (ideal)
\n\tSite-related experience (beneficial)
\n\tExperience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects<\/p>\n
