Sappi Ngodwana is looking for an experienced\u00a0Senior Procurement Specialist\u00a0to\u00a0support the Senior Procurement Manager, operations in daily purchasing operations, ensuring cost-effective, timely, and high-quality procurement in line with policies. Ensure compliance with Sappi\u2019s Health and Safety Regulations and relevant legislation.<\/p>\n
As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible to:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure compliance with SHEQ policies and ISO standards in procurement.
\n\tCommunicate regulatory changes to contractors as necessary.
\n\tAssess and manage supply chain risks effectively.
\n\tCollaborate with technical stakeholders for procurement standardization.
\n\tDevelop and implement strategic procurement strategies.
\n\tEvaluate vendor performance against SLAs and manage contracts.
\n\tDrive enterprise and supplier development initiatives locally.
\n\tContribute to mill profitability through strategic procurement inputs.
\n\tProvide reports to the Senior Procurement Manager, that includes preferential procurement and contracts.<\/p>\n
What are we looking for?<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in commercial, engineering or legal, or equivalent experience
\n\t5 Years procurement experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment
\n\tSupervisory experience will be advantageous<\/p>\n
