Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tRoutinely conducts inspections by visiting establishments to ensure that the collective agreement is maintained by the establishments in the assigned zones \/ areas.
\n\tIdentifies, advises and assists in correcting contraventions to the collective agreement.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tImprove communication regarding aspects of the collective agreement to all the establishments to promote healthy industrial relations within assigned zones \/ areas.
\n\tEnsure that the members\u2019 general awareness of the collective agreements is increased within assigned establishments \/ areas.
\n\tEnforcement of the collective agreement by way of prescribed legal processes.
\n\tManages and schedules appointments with establishments in the assigned zones \/ areas.
\n\tPromotes the benefits and functions of Motor Industry Bargaining Council to members and during inspections<\/p>\n
Knowledge\/Experience\/Skills\/Requirements<\/p>\n
\tAbove average verbal and written communication and listening skills
\n\tAbility to build strong effective relationships with all stakeholders, i.e. existing clients and potential clients as well as internal stakeholders, i.e. colleagues and management
\n\tMust have good decision making and problem-solving skills
\n\tMust have good analytical skills with attention to detail
\n\tMust have good computation skills, both in mathematical calculations & computer use.
\n\tStrong persuasion skills.
\n\tReport writing skills.
\n\tGood administration skills

Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tAn appropriate Grade 12 certificate and\/or equivalent academic qualification.
\n\tRelated post-matric labour relations qualification
\n\tAt least 2 years\u2019 solid experience within the Labour Relations environment
\n\tExperience in dealing with the bargaining council agreements.
\n\tPrevious working experience as a designated agent or labour inspector (advantageous)
\n\tThe ability to communicate in English is essential and be able to handle own correspondence.
\n\tIn possession of a current valid driver\u2019s license and have at least 2 years\u2019 proven driving experience.
\n\tSuccessful completion of the Agents\u2019 Examination: Parts I & II will be an advantage
\n\tComputer literacy (Word & Excel)
\n\tTechnical experience\/knowledge in motor engineering and\/or motor vehicle repairs advantageous<\/p>\n
