Role Headline<\/p>\n
\tDesigns, develops, and manages customer Automation\/ Control system projects in the various industries, according to defined customer standards and industry norms. Manage the projects within the PM@ Siemens, Project Management (PM) standards and customer requirements, and with responsibility for economic results. Leads in the tender development from pricing through to offer documents creation and control.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities of the Role<\/p>\n
\tConsults with customers on technical solutions, together with Sales Manager or Key Account \u00a0 \u00a0 Manager.
\n\tClarifies customers\u00b4 targets and requirements, and\/or specification in request for proposal (RFP).
\n\tPrepares participation in tender and leads negotiation with customers both technically and commercially
\n\tCoordinates overall planning of the project and decides on allocation of resources.
\n\tClarifies specification and continuously liaise with accountable Project Manager Internal.
\n\tMonitors milestones and adherence to budgets, and initiates actions to minimize non-conformance cost.
\n\tMaintains constant communication to customers, outside contractors or other stakeholders.
\n\tTakes a lead role in Technical design of the system, including on site installation and commissioning
\n\tCoordinates agreed commissioning measures onsite, together with Site Engineering team. Will be involved with onsite commissioning
\n\tTake a Lead in the Hardware design and component integration.
\n\tTake a lead role in Drive (VSD) selection, configuration and on site commissioning
\n\tEnsure unified design between Hardware, drawings, and the Software coding.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
\tRelevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, preferably instruments and controls
\n\tIndustry-recognised Project Management accreditation (SACPCMP Certification) (Preferred)
\n\tMinimum 5 years\u2019 experience in the design (Electrical panel), construction and operation of Electrical, control and instrumentation systems in an industrial environment. (Green and Brownfield Projects)
\n\tProven track-record in the delivery of complex systems and solutions including Engineering and construction work.
\n\tMust be able to work independently, taking decisions and actioning them.
\n\tA strong working knowledge of Industrial control Systems using the Siemens Product range, Switchgear in both selection design and commissioning. A strong Drives (VSD) background is essential.
\n\tFamiliarity with NEC 3, Fidic and JBCC Contract Management
\n\tCross-border experience in Africa is advantageous
\n\tFamiliarity with AutoCAD and E-plan advantageous<\/p>\n
