The successful incumbent will be required for:<br \/>\n\tBalancing supply and demand of raw materials required by production using cost effective inventory management principles, warehouse management systems and in accordance with requirements of GMP.<br \/>\n\tApplications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n<p>\tGrade 12 (matric) with minimum D marks in English, Maths, Science, Biology or EMS<br \/>\n\tSupply Chain &#8211; Logistics\/Warehousing related tertiary qualification<br \/>\n\t6 years\u2019 experience in a GMP warehousing, logistics or related area<br \/>\n\tSupervisory experience<br \/>\n\tSAP experience preferable<\/p>\n<p>Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Ensuring continuity of supply for raw materials for production department by:<\/p>\n<p>\tReviewing current stock levels and orders on hand in light of current demands and, where required, initiating or reviewing orders.<br \/>\n\tLiaising with production departments and Production Planner to review production plan changes and their impact on demand requirements and inventory holding.<br \/>\n\tReporting weekly on status of stock holdings for key material stocks as defined by manager.<br \/>\n\tCommunicating with buyers relating to raw material requirements and current orders.<br \/>\n\tTracking performance of department through lead times associated with goods receipts and quality release periods to avoid bottle necks.<\/p>\n<p>The effective control of raw materials and in-process stocks by<\/p>\n<p>\tImplementing and maintaining formal procedures and practices for inventory storage, handling and movement, which are consistent with cGMP and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.<br \/>\n\tEnsuring SOP\u2019s are reviewed and updated as and when changes to the process occur or annually.<br \/>\n\tOngoing training of identified production personnel in the correct procedures for stock management and ordering.<br \/>\n\tClose collaboration with end users of materials that are not maintained in the SAP system to mitigate the risk of out of stocks. Collect and update material usage information on a quarterly basis.<br \/>\n\tClose collaboration with QC department to ensure inbound material sampling, testing and release takes place timeously.<br \/>\n\tOngoing alliance with the Procurement team to ensure alignment with suppliers on open PO\u2019s and supplier deliveries.<\/p>\n<p>Ensuring the effectiveness of department in stock management by<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsuring physical stocks are consistent with electronic records.<br \/>\n\tRestricting access to inventory storage areas to authorized personnel only.<br \/>\n\tInitiating and maintaining ongoing cycle counting, monthly stock counts and annual stock counting to identify and rectify stock variances.<br \/>\n\tInvestigating and establishing causes for stock variances.<br \/>\n\tAuditing material movement transactions against actual production plans to ensure correctness of captured data.<br \/>\n\tComplete and update all material movement registers at the receiving area.<br \/>\n\tMonthly reporting on departmental performance in terms of stock turnover, shortages, over stocks and trends.<\/p>\n<p>Setting and monitoring performance of staff within the department by:<\/p>\n<p>\tRecommending any operations required outside of normal working hours for prior approval by manager.<br \/>\n\tTracking staff attendance, behaviors and practices and addressing any behavior which is inconsistent with company policy and procedures.<br \/>\n\tEnsuring compliance of staff to conditions of employment and company policies.<br \/>\n\tMeeting regularly with staff to formally review performance and identify future training and development requirements for discussion with manager.<br \/>\n\tEnsuring all licenses for operating heavy vehicles are up to date for all operators. And arranging refresher training when licenses are about to expire.<\/p>\n<p>Assisting with budgeting for Manufacturing by:<\/p>\n<p>\tOverhead budget planning for own cost centers.<br \/>\n\tCAPEX budget planning for departmental needs.<\/p>\n<p>Internal and External Audit participation by<\/p>\n<p>\tScheduling and performing department self-audits on a monthly basis.<br \/>\n\tEnsure the closing of all CAPA\u2019s identified from each audit in a timely manner.<br \/>\n\tReport on the effectiveness of the CAPA\u2019s to ensure re-occurrence of incidents\/findings, does not take place.<\/p>\n<p>People management<\/p>\n<p>\tCoordinate and monitor daily team operations and work assignments.<br \/>\n\tContribute to staff rostering and operational coverage<br \/>\n\tEscalate complex operational and people management matters to management.<br \/>\n\tMonitor team individual performance and provide constructive feedback<br \/>\n\tSupport staff development through coaching, training and identification as well as onboarding<br \/>\n\tManage basic HR processes including attendance, leave and disciplinary matters as instructed<br \/>\n\tSupport implementation and adherence on NBI policies and procedures e.g SHE, GMP, HR.<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( N \/ A ) or<\/p>\n<p>nbisa.erecruit.co<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/nbisa.erecruit.co","_company_name":"National Bioproducts Institute","_company_website":"http:\/\/N%20\/%20A","_company_tagline":"NBI is a private, non-profit, pharmaceutical manufacturer of human plasma-derived medicinal products.
