{"id":18297,"date":"2025-09-04T12:05:34","date_gmt":"2025-09-04T12:05:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/process-engineer-suit\/"},"modified":"2025-12-05T00:25:17","modified_gmt":"2025-12-05T00:25:17","slug":"process-engineer-suit","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/?post_type=job_listing&p=18297","title":{"rendered":"Process Engineer (SUIT)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Process Engineer role is critical to the development of our factories to World Class Manufacturing, this is achieved through continuous optimization of the process to ensure it is running at the highest level of efficiency and accuracy.<\/p>\n<p>WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE<\/p>\n<p>\tZero defects, zero waste and zero losses<br \/>\n\tLead Quality Improvement methods and tools to counter losses identified in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost Deployment, Customer Service and Logistics.<br \/>\n\tThe Cost Deployment pillar will be populated with data built up through application of the Managing Manufacturing Performance Code, which is key to ensuring focus on key losses.<br \/>\n\tWorking directly with the line crews on a daily basis<br \/>\n\tAct as the technical trainer for line teams and provides coaching in phenomena identification, root cause analysis and the establishment of counter-measures<br \/>\n\tResponsible for the validation of all process improvements and the establishment of revised basic conditions on the line<br \/>\n\tA core deliverable is eliminating losses and wastes and increase the stability of the line to support the transition of traditional line teams to semi-autonomous teams.<br \/>\n\tEliminate Waste and Loss according to the WCM prioritization process using AM, PM, FI and QC pillar tools and methodologies.<br \/>\n\tCreate Technical and Quality Standards to ensure process stability on the line.<br \/>\n\tIdentify and extend good practice to other lines.<br \/>\n\tApplication and accuracy of MMP Code data<br \/>\n\tConsumer and Customer Focus:<br \/>\n\tBuilding world class factories will eliminate losses and ensure that we do not pass on the cost of inefficiencies to our customers and consumers<br \/>\n\tBias for Action:<br \/>\n\tBy providing consistent and near real time information, decisions can be taken quickly which leverage our resources<br \/>\n\tBuilding Talent and Teams:<br \/>\n\tOur vision is to move to semi-autonomous teams.<br \/>\n\tPassion for achieving results.<br \/>\n\tTransfer knowledge and skills across the team and leverage team strengths<br \/>\n\tAccountability and Responsibility:<br \/>\n\tDrive continuous improvements.<br \/>\n\tGrowth Mindset:<br \/>\n\tBy building world class factories essential to set the standards<br \/>\n\tWCM:<br \/>\n\tApply the full set of WCM methods and tools.<br \/>\n\tProcess and Organisational Design:<br \/>\n\tEnsure factory lines and processes are optimally resourced (e.g. manpower ratios are efficient and sustainable)<br \/>\n\tAnalytical capability:<br \/>\n\tCollect and analyse and interpret complex data.<br \/>\n\tUnderstanding and implementation of process safety requirements for combustible dusts.<br \/>\n\tRun engineering projects:<br \/>\n\tNew equipment or optimization of current equipment to maximise the efficiency of the factory and bring savings into the business<br \/>\n\tLand Innovations in the factory to drive the business forward and bring in cost savings that improve the gross margin.<br \/>\n\tDebottle and optimise the current processes to maximise output and reduce cost.<\/p>\n<p>WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED<\/p>\n<p>Experiences &amp; Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>\tDegree\/ BTech Mechanical\/ Chemical\/ Industrial Engineering<br \/>\n\tExperience from a Continuous Processing background within FMCG or Manufacturing environment will be advantageous<br \/>\n\tExperience in AM, PM, Quality and FI tools and processes.<br \/>\n\tExperience in landing engineering projects.<br \/>\n\tHAZOPs and Safety Approval Systems working knowledge and experience is essential<br \/>\n\tAble to visualize clearly what the ideal production system should be.<br \/>\n\tClearly understand operating principles and establish correct operating standards<br \/>\n\tExperience in statistics and process control tools.<br \/>\n\tDrive decision making based on data<br \/>\n\tProcess Design<\/p>\n<p>Skills<\/p>\n<p>\tProcess Engineering<br \/>\n\tDesign &amp;
