We\u2019re looking for a passionate Area Marketer to join our AVI Field Marketing Shared Services Division in Gauteng. In this role, you will be required to perform a sales and merchandising function in the Inland East region servicing retail customers in Springs and surrounding, Delmas, Kwa-Thema, Heidelburg and Balfour. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Reporting Structure:<\/p>\n
\tReports to: Regional Operations Manager
\n\tDirect reports: 20<\/p>\n
Key Areas of Impact:<\/p>\n
\tMonitor store ordering process, stock levels, and returns and take corrective action if required
\n\tMonitor pricing and ensure mandate adherence
\n\tNegotiate promotional activity
\n\tPOP implementation and negotiate ad-hoc display and space
\n\tCheck-in stock, expiry dates and ensure shelf health standards are maintained
\n\tAddress pricing and delivery issues
\n\tMonitor forward share in relation to market share as well as the rate of sale
\n\tMonitor slow and fast-selling SKU’s
\n\tEnsure displays and promotions are according to requirements
\n\tEnsure effective shelf health standards maintained
\n\tMerchandising done according to business unit layout standard
\n\tApplication of POP drivers as per business unit brief
\n\tFollow the call cycles and communicate any changes to customers
\n\tEnsure the field marketers and merchandisers follow their call cycles
\n\tConfirm call cycles are followed and communicate changes to customers when needed
\n\tMonitoring competitor activities
\n\tEffective communication of activities
\n\tMonitor implementation of promotional activity
\n\tProvide feedback to Area Sales Manager and keep up to date on conduct issues
\n\tManage new launches and ensure all staff have been informed of the new launches
\n\tInform stores of new innovation
\n\tMonitor listings and ranging of new launches and provide feedback
\n\tEnsure POS execution
\n\tEnsure sufficient stock is ordered for the activity<\/p>\n

\tMust have a minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in an FMCG sales environment handling the retail channel

Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:<\/p>\n
\tA completed Grade 12 \/ Matric certificate
\n\tA Diploma \/ Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or Retail Management would be advantageous<\/p>\n

\tKnowledge of the FMCG industry is essential
\n\tStaff management experience is essential
\n\tKnowledge of HR and disciplinary procedures is necessary
