\tTo provide legal advice to the Group and lead the Group\u2019s legal function in the management of legal and contractual risk across all functions within the Group.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tLLB Degree
\n\tAdmitted Attorney<\/p>\n
Minimum Experience<\/p>\n
\tMust have a minimum of 6 years\u2019 experience post qualification experience.
\n\tHave experience in Corporate Commercial Law and Commercial litigation.
\n\tHave experience as an in-house counsel at a company.
\n\tHave had exposure in a regulated industry.
\n\tMust have previous experience in the healthcare industry.<\/p>\n

\tLeading the provision of legal advice to Clinix Health Group

\n\tNegotiating and concluding complex agreements.
\n\tManagement and enforcement of contracts.
\n\tManaging legal and regulatory risks.

DELIVERABLES<\/p>\n
Provide strategic legal advice<\/p>\n
\tParticipate in high-level decision-making,
\n\tAlign legal strategy with the business objectives of the Group.
\n\tProvide input on mergers and acquisitions.<\/p>\n
Manage litigation;<\/p>\n
\tObtain instructions from the relevant hospitals or functions within the Group.
\n\tCoordinate the work of external counsel and attorneys.
\n\tDevelop a bespoke litigation strategy for the Group.
\n\tManage the litigation budget.
\n\tAdvise the board and executive team on legal governance matters.<\/p>\n
Manage legal risk and compliance<\/p>\n
\tConduct training and awareness.
\n\tInspire the development of policies to manage or curb legal risk within the Group.
\n\tMonitor compliance with POPIA.
\n\tConduct legal due diligence investigations on the purchase of new business and draft the relevant transactional agreements.
\n\tDevelop and maintain relationships with contracted legal firms to ensure quality of services offered to the Group
\n\tProvide legal input and advice on media strategies, media statements as well as reviewing and amending the internal media policy and drafting responses for ad hoc public relations issues.
\n\tCollaborate with various departments (i.e., Risk and Compliance, Procurement, Hospital Operations) to mitigate and minimise legal and related risks
\n\tLead and\/or manage the Legal team meetings and ensure participation from all parties
\n\tDemonstrate visible leadership in respect of company values, operating model and strategy.
\n\tSponsor company initiatives and projects related to Legal
\n\tReduce the Group\u2019s financial risk, including insurance risk by applying sound legal advice and principles
\n\tNegotiate preferential rates with external law firms and legal counsel based on volumes
\n\tDrive adherence to statutory standards, policies, and procedures within the business unit to ensure compliance at all times and take remedial action where necessary
\n\tApply and maintain the risk management framework for the function and enterprise<\/p>\n
