PURPOSE<\/p>\n
\tThe role is responsible to ensure safe installation and maintenance and repairs of all mechanical equipment i e crusher\/gearboxes\/pumps etc.<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\tSafety, Health , Environment and Quality
\n\tDisplay safety conduct at all time by wearing the correct PPE
\n\tAttend pre shift meetings
\n\tReport unsafe conditions and behaviour
\n\tAdhere to FA and client policies and procedures
\n\tAlways behave safe
\n\tMaintenance and fabrication
\n\tImplement maintenance schedules
\n\tMaintainsrepairs all mechanical equipment
\n\tConduct plant inspection on all key mechanical equipment
\n\tIdentifies and prioritise equipment in need of maintenance\/repairs
\n\tPlans down time for repairs\/maintenance
\n\tPlans for material and men to assist
\n\tDo risk assessment\/study procedures
\n\tDo repairs\/maintenance Fabricate general steelwork<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tN2 – Mechanical engineering subjects
\n\tTrade test – Fitter – MQA\/MERSETA preferred<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\t3 years minimum post trade test experience as Fitter
\n\t2 years Learnership\/Apprentice in Mining or Construction
\n\tBasic exposure to maintenance of general plant equipment<\/p>\n

\tVerbal communication
\n\tUnderstand what constitutes unsafe conditions and behaviour
\n\tKnowledge of unsafe behaviour – what does it mean?
\n\tBasic understanding of planned maintenance documentation and procedures
\n\tBasic planning skills
\n\tRisk assessment skills
\n\tMechanical engineering skills
\n\tValid Drivers license
