\tRPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable and well-established multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm in Gauteng is seeking a Senior Professional Architect to lead complex projects and mentor junior team members.
\n\tAs the Senior Professional Architect, you will play a key leadership role in the design, documentation, and delivery of architectural projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, liaise with clients and authorities, and ensure each project meets the highest standards of functionality, aesthetics, and compliance.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tLead the design process from concept through to construction
\n\tManage full architectural project lifecycles including planning, design development, documentation, and contract administration
\n\tMentor and oversee junior architects
\n\tCoordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors to ensure integrated project delivery
\n\tConduct client presentations, manage expectations, and maintain strong professional relationships
\n\tEnsure compliance with SACAP regulations, national building regulations (NBR), and municipal by-laws
\n\tMonitor project budgets, timelines, and deliverables
\n\tOversee submissions to local authorities and manage approval processes<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tProfessional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
\n\tRegistered as a Professional Architect with SACAP (Compulsory)
\n\tMinimum 8\u201310 years post-qualification experience, with proven experience managing large-scale or complex projects
\n\tStrong design sensibility, technical detailing skills, and documentation accuracy
\n\tProficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and rendering software (e.g., Lumion, SketchUp, Enscape)
\n\tKnowledge of relevant building codes, SANS standards, and construction practices in South Africa
\n\tExcellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
\n\tAbility to manage multiple deadlines and deliverables effectively<\/p>\n
Benefits:<\/p>\n
\tSalary:\u00a0 R600K \u2013 R720K CTC per annum<\/p>\n
