We areseeking an analytical individual with a background in BI\/Business Analysis, a passion for ERP\/Reporting systems, and expertise as a Syspro super user to join our Commercial team as a Business Analyst (Finance). This position is based in Pretoria West (office based) and reports to the Commercial Manager.
\n\tThe role\u2019s purpose is to serve as the business support advisor and Super User for the Syspro ERP and Reporting environment within the Baking Business Unit. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Business to identify, design, and specify application solutions that meet business requirements, and facilitate the implementation of these solutions using recognized project management methodologies.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree or related relevant qualification, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
\n\tProven experience (3+ years) as a Business Analyst in a corporate environment.
\n\tDemonstrated experience in implementing process improvements and digital transformation projects.
\n\tDemonstrated experience with Syspro
\n\tStrong analytical skills and attention to detail.
\n\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n\tProficiency in using business analysis tools and methodologies.
\n\tExperience with Microsoft Power BI or similar data visualization tools is an added advantage.
\n\tKnowledge of the FMCG industry will be highly advantageous.
\n\tKnowledge of how IT systems integrate with daily business operations.
\n\tProven track record in facilitating cross-departmental projects and business process improvement.
\n\tHas knowledge and proven work experience in SQL queries and Power BI<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tProvide support to end users in resolving ERP-related issues within the Baking Business Unit, with a focus on financial matters.
\n\tAssist end users in accessing and understanding ERP reports, data, and table information.
\n\tClearly define problems and collaborate with technical experts and external consultants to address technical ERP issues.
\n\tPartner with the learning team and super users to deliver and, when necessary, conduct training sessions for end users on both existing and new ERP functionalities.<\/p>\n
System Functionality:<\/p>\n
\tDocument and communicate new processes to stakeholders in the specified format.
\n\tCollaborate with the learning team and super users to deliver and conduct end user training on new and existing capabilities.
\n\tConduct user acceptance testing with the IT department and business super users.
\n\tCreate and maintain user training manuals and standard operating procedures with business super users and the learning team.
\n\tAssess user knowledge and skills post-training and analyze reports to identify training needs.<\/p>\n
System Opportunity Identification:<\/p>\n
\tSupport the Commercial Manager \u2013 Projects, Application Manager, and the Business in identifying IT application solutions to address key business requirements.
\n\tQuantify savings and efficiencies related to these opportunities and draw up Business Case documentation for submission to the Commercial Manager \u2013 Projects.
\n\tMonitor project progress to ensure timely, budget-compliant delivery and performance standards.<\/p>\n
BI, Application Development, Enhancement and Implementation:<\/p>\n
\tAct as a liaison between the Business and IT department\/external consultants to implement identified system enhancements.
\n\tCollaborate with Business representatives to gather, understand, and document detailed project requirements.
\n\tFacilitate business process re-engineering initiatives and implement effective solutions.
\n\tPrepare comprehensive business cases by analyzing potential benefits, costs, and risks to support informed decision-making and secure stakeholder approval.
\n\tDevelop and agree on a scope definition document, ensuring full sign-off before implementation. Compile and store project documentation, including business process flow charts, end-user training materials, standard operating procedures, and change controls.
\n\tMaintain constant communication with developers and conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve issues before Business user acceptance testing.
\n\tCollaborate with IT and development teams to ensure solutions align with business goals, focusing on data-driven solutions like Microsoft Power BI.
\n\tWork with the Business to implement the solution and provide post-implementation support to all end users, particularly for financial support.<\/p>\n
