\tResponsible for establishing, enhancing and reporting on the organisation’s IT infrastructure landscape in alignment with the organisational business requirements, to minimise IT infrastructure risks, ensure optimal performance and capacity, and to comply with security protocols as agreed between service providers and organisational business owners.<\/p>\n
Job Responsibilities<\/p>\n
IT Infrastructure solutions:<\/p>\n
\tPlan \u2013 plan solutions to meet organisational needs
\n\tFunding \u2013 provide context and inputs for funding requests
\n\tDesign \u2013 design appropriate solutions aligned with architectural principles
\n\tImplement \u2013 proof, test and roll-out workable solutions to satisfy needs
\n\tMaintain \u2013 maintain implemented solutions to retain optimal health status
\n\tMonitor \u2013 measure performance and capacity of solution aligned to SLAs
\n\tAdopt \u2013 change solutions to accommodate business demands
\n\tRisks \u2013 record, inform and act on potential risks
\n\tRenew \u2013 refresh technologies and designs to stay abreast and improve solution
\n\tDispose \u2013 turn-down solutions not in use for repurposing or scrap
\n\tEfficiency \u2013 build efficiencies into solutions to minimise waste and promote sustainable initiatives
\n\tManage outsourced services, SLA\u2019s, resources and governance.
\n\tManage and oversee the use of physical or virtual IT infrastructure core assets, components and peripheries such as end user devices, servers, networks, storage, cloud and IT infrastructure services.
\n\tEnsure that the security and integrity of the organization’s IT infrastructure are adhere to.
\n\tEnsure valid IT infrastructure license entitlements for services are in use.\u00a0
\n\tSupport the organisation in IT automation, transformation and innovation processes.
\n\tProvide leadership and guidance to the IT infrastructure teams (internal and external).
\n\tConduct regular assessments of the IT infrastructure to identify areas for improvement.
\n\tLead verification of IT Infrastructure assets and ensure IT asset register is up to date.
\n\tAssist and comply with audit activities related to IT infrastructure.
\n\tDevelop and maintain documentation for IT infrastructure processes and procedures.
\n\tTake part in and adhere to procurement and financial business principles and processes when required.\u00a0
\n\tComply with relevant IT governance policies, procedures and structures.
\n\tCollaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of IT solutions.
\n\tManage vendor relationships and contracts related to IT infrastructure.
\n\tParticipate in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
\n\tEmbrace and evaluate new IT infrastructure technologies to enhance business and customer experience.
\n\tReport on IT infrastructure health, services, risks, projects and initiatives.
\n\tProvide leadership to ensure that all IT infrastructure initiatives stay aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.<\/p>\n

\tRelevant qualification in Computer Science or Engineering, or Information Technology.
\n\tAny experience in an IT Infrastructure role, experience in IT or experience in a telecommunications environment will be advantageous.<\/p>\n
