\tTo generate and grow sales whilst maintaining required GP%, great agent relationships and high-level customer service by offering world-class itineraries to exceed agent & guests’ expectations. And secure, cost and present product to the agent\/guest accurately, efficiently, timeously by creating inspirational luxury travel.

We\u2019re looking for a Johannesburg-based Intermediate Travel Designer to support our reservations business, focusing on clients from the Latin American market. In this role, you\u2019ll work closely with our Sales team to design tailor-made, high-touch itineraries that reflect the spirit of exploration and the luxury of personalisation. Detailed Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tLiaise with the Reservations Manager on sales potential and any development on the agent relationship for all bookings.
\n\tBuild relationships with agents based on trust and support, knowing their business trends and guests needs, ad hoc attending relevant familiarization trips with agents (if and when required).
\n\tContinuous communication and excellent service delivery to agents at all times.
\n\tKeep Agents\u2019 booking information updated in the ARM (likes\/dislikes \u2013 booking habits etc.) Actual Agent Contact information will be updated by Sales\/Reservations Operations Managers.
\n\tQuote accurately and timeously keeping in mind our strategic and preferred AP and upsell where possible to benefit both WS and the agent ensuring relevant information is obtained from the ARM prior to quoting.
\n\tStreamline operational negotiations by also reducing dead beds, waitlist chasing and maximizing camp operations role to create those life-changing journeys for guests.<\/p>\n
CANDIDATE PROFILE:<\/p>\n
Qualification:<\/p>\n
\tMatric certificate \u2013 with maths (minimum standard grade or above)
\n\tTertiary certificate in Travel & Tourism\/hospitality.<\/p>\n
Experience: \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tProven experience as a Travel Designer or in a similar role within the luxury travel industry.
\n\tA deep understanding of the Latin American travel market and clientele.
\n\tKnowledge of East Africa is a definite bonus and could set you apart.
\n\tCultural insight would be a significant advantage.
\n\t3-5 years\u2019 experience at a intermediate level.
\n\tComputer Literate (Microsoft Office, email, Internet)<\/p>\n
Skills:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tExcellent communication skills both written and oral, in English.
\n\tA strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
\n\tCultural insight would be a significant advantage.<\/p>\n
