The role also includes post\u00a0 investment management of projects, which includes re-scoping of projects that are not performing according to\u00a0 expectations.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nTechnical outputs.<\/p>\n<p>\tAppraisal of the investment and non-investment proposals (early stage screening and due diligence.<br \/>\n\tPreparing and appraising reports for submission to the investment manager.<br \/>\n\tCredit risk analysis (for loans) and performing detailed analysis of investment opportunities including\u00a0commercial analysis, financial modelling and analysis and institutional analysis.<br \/>\n\tNegotiating term sheets with clients<br \/>\n\tOverseeing disbursements to projects as well as monitoring the progress of post-investment<br \/>\n\tEnsuring deal closure by taking responsibility for optimal financial, institutional and legal structuring<br \/>\n\tAdvise the fund on project screening and assessment criteria<br \/>\n\tLiaise with DBSA stakeholders<br \/>\n\tUndertake tasks as determined by the investment manager from time to time.<\/p>\n<p>Key Measures of Outputs<\/p>\n<p>\tQuality of input into project appraisal reports<br \/>\n\tOptimal financial, institutional and legal structuring<br \/>\n\tConsistency in monitoring the progress of post-investment activities<\/p>\n<p>Key Internal Liaison Relationships<\/p>\n<p>\tProject Preparation<br \/>\n\tIDKC Manco and Board<br \/>\n\tGreen Fund ManCom<\/p>\n<p>Key External Liaison Relationships<\/p>\n<p>\tGreen Fund Clients<br \/>\n\tDepartment of Environmental Affairs<br \/>\n\tVarious Government Departments<\/p>\n<p>Expertise &amp; Technical Competencies\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nMinimum Requirements:<\/p>\n<p>\tAn Honours degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or Economics.<br \/>\n\tA post-graduate qualification such as a CA, CFA or MBA would be a strong advantage.<br \/>\n\tPrevious Investment management experience in green or climate related environment will be an advantag<br \/>\n\tMinimum of 5 to 7 years\u2019 experience in appraising, negotiating and closing Project Finance, Corporate Finance, or Structured Finance transactions in a financial institution.<br \/>\n\tExperience in successful investment, appraisal, analysis and implementation is required.<br \/>\n\tExperience in using Financial models.<\/p>\n<p>Technical Competencies:<br \/>\nWritten &amp;
