\tThe purpose of this role is to manage the manufacturing processes, equipment and facilities at the Dryden site in the most cost-effective way by ensuring maximum efficiency and optimal mix whilst maintaining compliance with legislation, customer specifications, quality and company standards to achieve planned production.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tA Diploma\/Degree in Production Management or any other relevant qualification.
\n\t5 years operational management experience within the FMCG manufacturing environment of which 3 years must be in a management position.
\n\tExperience in an poultry rendering environment will be an added advantage.
\n\tKnowledge of cost management (i.e., processing budget vs expenditure).
\n\tKnowledge of cost-saving (i.e., deliver against cost-saving and business improvement initiatives).
\n\tTarget-driven, knowledge of production processes, best practices and quality systems (e.g., OEE).
\n\tKnowledge of waste management processes.
\n\tSolid team management experience, including but not limited to workforce planning, performance management and ensuring discipline on-site.
\n\tKnowledge of SHEQ compliance within the Processing Department.<\/p>\n
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS<\/p>\n
\tOversee production planning on-site.
\n\tProvide input into the broader strategy from a production perspective.
\n\tManage, plan and control the Production and maintenance Department\u2019s budget.
\n\tEnsure that the Production Department is sufficiently capacitated to deliver against the production plan.
\n\tIdentify and implement work improvement practices to achieve maximum outputs.
\n\tEstablish and ensure the most efficient use of resources i.e., cost, people, time, etc. to increase delivery on product output and quality.
\n\tDevelop, implement and manage the preventative maintenance program.
\n\tDrive optimal product quality and volumes to maximize customer satisfaction.
\n\tProvide input into the establishment of systems and procedures to comply with best practices, legislative, and other regulatory guidelines.
\n\tDrive production targets while minimizing costs (i.e., ensuring minimum wastage of raw materials, packaging materials, minimizing downtime and reducing labour costs).
\n\tEnsure on-site compliance to Safety, Health, Risk, Environment and Quality Management.
\n\tEnsure prompt implementation of corrective measures where non-compliance is identified.\u00a0<\/p>\n
