We are looking for a detail-oriented Technical Warehouse Assistant to join our fast-paced distribution centre in Sebokeng. In this role, you’ll configure, test, prepare and assist with inbound and outbound inventory while ensuring accuracy, compliance and quality.
\n\tYou’ll work with technical specifications, tools and software to complete configurations, record stock movements, troubleshoot issues and support smooth warehouse operations.
\n\tWe’re seeking someone organised, technically proficient and hands-on, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:
\nHardware Configuration & Technical Support<\/p>\n
\tReceive, check and record stock coming into the Distribution Centre
\n\tConfigure all relevant hardware and ensure it is installation-ready
\n\tAssign job card numbers to each piece of equipment and create job cards timeously for operations
\n\tPhysically place equipment into cages or shelving according to job requirements
\n\tCapture relevant inputs on ikeja’s internal systems
\n\tUpdate internal systems according to scheduled installations and maintenance jobs
\n\tAssist field teams remotely<\/p>\n
Equipment Handling & Uninstall Processing<\/p>\n
\tAssist teams with equipment returns
\n\tTrack various equipment and update Stock Controllers accordingly<\/p>\n
Warehouse & Stock Management<\/p>\n
\tAssist in the daily capture of received stock
\n\tRecord and track internal stock movement and stock dispatched to teams and clients
\n\tAssist in packing and distributing warehouse stock to ensure teams receive necessary equipment on time
\n\tPrepare stock for dispatch using the first in first out principle to field teams
\n\tAssist in conducting daily, weekly and monthly stock counts to ensure accurate stock levels
\n\tAssist with housekeeping duties to maintain an organized warehouse
\n\tUpdate installation summaries on various internal systems
\n\tAssist field teams with any additional stock required
\n\tWork overtime two Saturdays per month, or as required<\/p>\n
Ad Hoc & Operational Support<\/p>\n
\tExecute any tasks directed by the DC Manager and\/or Stock Control Administrator, based on operational requirements
\n\tStep in and assist with hardware-related duties when other team members are unavailable<\/p>\n
Requirements
\nQualifications<\/p>\n
\tMatric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
\n\tA relevant technical or IT certification (advantageous)<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tAt least 1-2 years of experience in a technical configuration, IT support, or warehouse environment
\n\tExperience with hardware configuration, MAC address handling, or network setups (preferred)
\n\tPrior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or stock control role (advantageous)
\n\tProven knowledge of working with Ubiquiti and Mikrotik.<\/p>\n
Other Requirements<\/p>\n
\tPreference will be given to candidates residing in Sebokeng or Lenasia<\/p>\n

\nTechnical Skills:<\/p>\n
\tStrong understanding of network hardware configuration
\n\tAbility to work with MAC addresses, serial numbers, and internal inventory systems
\n\tExperience with basic network setup
\n\tFamiliarity with warehouse and stock management processes
\n\tProficiency in working with Google Sheets or Excel<\/p>\n
Operational & Problem-Solving Skills:<\/p>\n
\tStrong attention to detail in stock tracking and configuration
\n\tAbility to analyze and troubleshoot basic hardware issues
\n\tAbility to multi-task and prioritize workload effectively<\/p>\n
Communication & Teamwork:<\/p>\n
\tStrong coordination skills to support both field teams and warehouse deliverables
\n\tEffective written and verbal communication skills
\n\tAbility to work independently and within a team<\/p>\n
Physical & Time Management:<\/p>\n
\tComfortable with physical handling of stock and other warehouse tasks
\n\tAbility to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
\n\tWillingness to work overtime when needed (averaging two Saturdays per month)<\/p>\n
