THE PURPOSE OF THE PRODUCT INTRODUCTION ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN ROLE IS TO:<\/p>\n
\tTroubleshooting of Alstom products at customer site in order to ensure their availability.\u00a0 Provide technical expertise to subcontractors, warranty support team, project team members and less experienced personnel.<\/p>\n
THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE:<\/p>\n
Effective performance of Troubleshooting, repairs, Field modifications and testing activities<\/p>\n
\tGather Industrial requirements Engineering has to comply with, during product specification and design. Explain them to Engineering.
\n\tCarry out Troubleshooting during PI period as well as Pre-warranty & Commissioning (and Validation & Certification if applicable), including investigation and repair
\n\tCarry out Fleet check activities through TCMS data analysis and physical inspections
\n\tReports & register any deviation (failure\/event) in Failure Management data base including configuration data
\n\tSupport operation helpdesk
\n\tExecute test & troubleshooting procedures to evaluate system performance and performs failure analysis on parts to be returned for repair
\n\tAdhere to all Fleet Maintenance and Product Introduction processes, procedures and relevant SOP\u2019s during the performance of work activity and presence on work sites.
\n\tSupport \/ execute Implementation of Field Modifications and repairs as needed
\n\tSupport specific technical investigations by Engineering or internal\/external Suppliers to improve reliability, availability and general performance of the 23E locomotive fleet
\n\tIdentify and recommends preventative and corrective actions
\n\tAdvises PI management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product enhancements
\n\tEnsure good information flow about interventions & operations within Troubleshooting team to support shift transition, if needed
\n\tLead Troubleshooter team, if needed
\n\tInstructs and directs contractors in facilitating repairs if needed
\n\tConducts peer reviews of PI activities and provide technical leadership if requested
\n\tPerform fleet check to ensure quality when required
\n\tContribute to Return of Experience<\/p>\n
Compliance and adherence to Environment, Health, Safety and Quality rules, procedures and policies at all times.<\/p>\n
\tComplete industrial documentation: industrial data sheets, IMFU (Industrial Maturity Follow-Up)
\n\tEnsure that all quality standards are always met
\n\tFollow depot\/site procedures and instructions, both from the Company and from the customer
\n\tEnsure that quality standards of components are met
\n\tImplement 8D Practices and PPS Practices as and when required
\n\tEnsure Zero outstanding NCR\u2019s
\n\tLocomotive Configuration \u2013 Ensure serialized numbers are logged in MAXIMO \/ GSI
\n\tI-Forms \u2013 Attend to I-Forms; Raise product related Issues; Report Incidents and Complete Actions
\n\tComply with all safety related training and ensure up to date certifications as required i.e. working at heights
\n\tReport any and all safety concerns as per Company procedure
\n\tCollaborate with EHS and Quality teams to ensure we put safety first and maintain first class quality<\/p>\n
Accurate and up to date Reporting and Data management<\/p>\n
\tInitiate work through Maximo, update, and close work orders on Maximo \/GSI
\n\tEnsure that test documentation are filled out and placed in\u00a0 data file
\n\tEnsure that accurate reporting of work performed are done on MAXIMO \/ GSI.
\n\tEnsure accurate and comprehensive reporting after testing activities
\n\tEnsure that routine testing and type testing documents are completed
\n\tEnsure comprehensive and accurate failure reporting are done
\n\tEnsure proper record keeping
\n\tSupport the Commissioning Engineer with reporting where required<\/p>\n

THE PREFERRED CANDIDATE WILL MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tB.Tech\u00a0 Engineer (Electrical \/ Electromechanical)
\n\tMinimum 10 years working experience (at this level) in a electrical\/electronic\/pneumatic testing environment
\n\tEnvironment, Health and Safety knowledge\/exposure
\n\tHands on Test & Commissioning, fault finding & repair experience
\n\tWorking experience in Mechanical and Electrical Fault-finding
\n\tExperience in analytical fault reporting and report writing
\n\tAbility to read and understand drawings and schematics
\n\tExperience in Industrial activities related to Electrical, Control, onboard communications & network systems within process industry, railways or factory automation
\n\tRailway industry knowledge will be an advantage<\/p>\n
