{"id":18696,"date":"2025-09-10T16:00:27","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T16:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/hr-generalist\/"},"modified":"2025-12-11T00:26:28","modified_gmt":"2025-12-11T00:26:28","slug":"hr-generalist","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/?post_type=job_listing&p=18696","title":{"rendered":"HR Generalist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n<p>HR Administration:<\/p>\n<p>\tTo manage and administer the payroll system thereby ensuring that salaries are paid timeously and accurately.\u00a0 That all statutory regulations and requirements that influence the payroll are adhered to and payments made to the government are made timeously ( +-150 staff).\u00a0 Liaise with Finance \u2013 Reconciliations<br \/>\n\tAppointment &amp; Termination documentation including conducting exit interviews (letters\/Unemployment Forms\/Certificate of Service \/Membership to Medical aid &amp; Provident Fund etc.)<br \/>\n\tPresent Human Resources Section of On-Boarding Programme to new staff and co-ordinate the On-Boarding programme for other Departments.<br \/>\n\tManage the capturing of HR information and data into the relevant systems and assure the integrity of the data.<br \/>\n\tProvide advice and information to the functional leads and employees on HR policies and procedures. Ensuring that management and staff understand company\u2019s policies and procedures and apply them correctly<br \/>\n\tManage and update business organisational organograms and ensure that all organograms are up to date.<br \/>\n\tPrepare and participate in surveys ensuring that McCormick South Africa remain members of survey groups.<br \/>\n\tDo quarterly STATS reports for the South African Government as per legislation.<\/p>\n<p>Employee Relations:<\/p>\n<p>\tProvide advice to functional leads on disciplinary cases, grievances and incapacity.<br \/>\n\tReview practices to ensure statutory compliance and regularly provide guidance to functional leads<br \/>\n\tRepresent the organisation at CCMA (Conciliation and Arbitration).<br \/>\n\tChair the monthly meetings with Shop Stewards in the absence of HR Manager.<br \/>\n\tManage and coordinate employee wellness.<\/p>\n<p>Recruitment:<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure that the Recruitment process is adhered to, and jobs are timeously advertised and tracked.<br \/>\n\tManage and conduct interviews with functional leads and selection test and make recommendations to the HR Manager.<br \/>\n\tSupervise the orientation of new employees.<br \/>\n\tManage probationary reviews, employee evaluations and terminations.<br \/>\n\tEnsure that the site job descriptions are relevant and up to date.<\/p>\n<p>Talent Management:<\/p>\n<p>\tCoach functional leads on Performance Management Process and T&amp;O Review process.<br \/>\n\tCoordinate Consistency Reviews and T&amp;O review meetings.<br \/>\n\tCoordinate the performance appraisal documents and consolidate performance ratings.<br \/>\n\tDrive the succession planning for the site.<br \/>\n\tFacilitate employment equity target setting and monitor profile.<br \/>\n\tEnsure that the EE committee meetings takes place quarterly.<br \/>\n\tDrive change management initiatives in line with the business and organisational objectives.<\/p>\n<p>Training Development:<\/p>\n<p>\tCompile training matrix from Appraisal documents (IDP).<br \/>\n\tFacilitate HR training including adhoc refresher for employees and Functional leads.<br \/>\n\tDrive Development Plans for all employees on site.<\/p>\n<p>CANDIDATE PROFILE<\/p>\n<p>\tDegree qualification in Human Resources Management.<br \/>\n\t3 \u2013 5 Years\u2019 experience as HR Generalist in FMCG, multi-national, manufacturing company.<br \/>\n\tEmployee and industrial relations experience\u00a0in effectively handling Employee Relations and CCMA cases<br \/>\n\tIn-depth knowledge of employment law &amp; HR practices for South Africa with a solid track record in managing\/advising on legal issues<br \/>\n\tExperience of building development and training plans.<br \/>\n\tAbility to handle complexity across multi-cultural and cross functional borders in a matrix organization.<br \/>\n\tStructured, well organized and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.<br \/>\n\tGood analytical skills.<br \/>\n\tExcellent oral and written communication skills across all levels and cross functionally.<br \/>\n\tAbility to work collaboratively and maintain a positive outlook, even under pressure.<br \/>\n\tFlexible to change and embrace new initiatives.<br \/>\n\tAdvanced computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint).<br \/>\n\tCultural agility to work with diverse teams and employee groups.<br \/>\n\tCommunicative English is a must.<br \/>\n\tValid Code EB drivers\u2019 licence.<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( http:\/\/www.mccormickcorporation.com ) or<\/p>\n<p>careers.mccormick.com<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/careers.mccormick.com","_company_name":"McCormick & Company","_company_website":"http:\/\/www.mccormickcorporation.com","_company_tagline":"McCormick & Company, Incorporated (NYSE: MKC) is a global leader in flavor and one of the most respected and familiar names in the industry.
