A well-established business is seeking to appoint a Database Administrator
\n\tTo conduct day-to-day database operation of the organization’s and its compliant with relevant regulations, and optimizing it for better performance.<\/p>\n
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n
\tA relevant Degree in Information Technology or a relevant NQF level 7 equivalent qualification
\n\tUser Support \u2013 minimum three (3) year experience.
\n\tDatabase Installations, configurations and maintenance \u2013 minimum three (3) year experience.
\n\tBackup and recovery \u2013 minimum three (3) year experience.
\n\tDatabase programming – minimum three (3) year experience.
\n\tDatabase performance optimization \u2013 minimum three (3) year experience.
\n\tDatabase security \u2013 minimum three (3) year experience.
\n\tData Migration \u2013 minimum one (1) year experience.
\n\tCapacity planning \u2013 minimum one (1) year experience.
\n\tTechnical writing \u2013 minimum one (1) year experience.
\n\tCompliance and regulations \u2013 knowledge of applicable standards and data laws and regulations (e.g. POPIA).
\n\tData governance – knowledge of data governance principles and concepts.
\n\tProject management \u2013 knowledge of project management concepts, techniques and principles.
\n\tData lake administration- knowledge of administering the data lake platform is an advantage.
\n\tCloud database administration \u2013 experience in administering cloud-based database management system is an advantage<\/p>\n
