QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\tA valid matric certificate
\n\tNational Diploma in Public Administration\/ Public Management or Relevant qualification (NQF Level 6)
\n\tComputer literacy
\n\t3-4 years relevant experience
\n\tCode EB drivers’ license<\/p>\n

\tInterpersonal Relationships- The ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with people within and outside of the Municipality.
\n\tCommunication -The capacity to listen attentively, grasp issues, present information in a clear manner and respond appropriately to verbal and written communication of others.
\n\tService Delivery Orientation- The ability to explore and implement new ways of delivering services that contribute to the improvement of municipal processes in order to achieve municipal goals.
\n\tCoaching and Mentoring- The ability to assess skills, performance, and potential of subordinates and to encourage their development with the view of optimizing their talent.
\n\tDirection Setting -The ability to create a clear sense of common purpose and vision for others with a view to obtaining buy in and commitment to the goals of the unit.<\/p>\n
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:<\/p>\n
\tPrepare, manage, and control the Office of the Mayor’s annual operational budget, ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of the Office within the budgetary constraints of the Council.
\n\tFacilitate and provide administrative and political support to the Mayor with regards to the functions of the office.
\n\tDevelopment and implementation of strategic and operational policies in the office of the Mayor.
\n\tLead and manage all staff in the Office of the Mayor to ensure efficiency\/effectiveness in the Office of the Mayor.
\n\tDeal with high-level of confidential correspondence on behalf of the Mayor that does not require political advice, but requires a direct response from the Mayor.
\n\tOversee the provision of communications services for the Mayor
\n\tOrganize and prepare media briefings and interviews in liaison with the communications unit.
\n\tServe as liaison between administration and the Mayor.<\/p>\n
