Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 (Senior Certificate) A three (3) year qualification (NQF Level 6\/7) in Information Technology
\n\tComputer literacy in Microsoft packages
\n\tA valid motor vehicle driver\u2019s licence
\n\tAble to communicate in isiZulu and English<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\t3 – 4 years\u2019 experience as Information Technology officer preferable in a Municipal environment.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tManage information systems and network infrastructure to support the strategic direction and operation of the Municipality
\n\tDevelop and maintain information Technology policies, ICT strategy and operation plans
\n\tConduct continuous research and development on technology to keep systems current
\n\tResearch new ways to improve productivity by implementing new programs and procedures
\n\tInstallation of administrative and instructional software on computer networks
\n\tTroubleshoot hardware and software conflicts
\n\tPlan and implement required configuration changes to LAN
\n\tPrepare requests for procurement of software and hardware
\n\tSecurity of WAN and LAN
\n\tPlan and implement systems security policy<\/p>\n
