Description<\/p>\n
\tThis position exists to oversee the execution of the deposition plan by planning activities, organising resources, delegating task responsibilities, leading people and controlling risks and deviations to ensure the achievement of the deposition plan.<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Planning<\/p>\n
\tSelect the right tools and equipment for the job.
\n\tEnsure that there are enough stock quantities available.
\n\tAdherence to the Deposition plan in terms of location and duration.<\/p>\n
Execute Tailings Dam Activities<\/p>\n
\tMonitor the flow of slurry.
\n\tOperate the delivery valves.
\n\tManage the water depth in terms of the inlet flow at the penstock, pond and bypassing.<\/p>\n
Leading<\/p>\n
\tTrain, coach, and motivate the team.
\n\tCommunicate with staff and superiors.
\n\tMake employees aware of hazards and risks.
\n\tAttend to employee grievances.<\/p>\n
Control their team<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that the equipment is used correctly.
\n\tEnsure that equipment is stored properly.
\n\tEnsure that people follow written safe work procedures.
\n\tReport and record incidents.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12.
\n\tCertification in a Skills Program in Slimes Reclamation or Tailings Dam Operation will be advantageous.<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 2 years of experience in the same or similar role.<\/p>\n
SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED<\/p>\n
\tGood communication (verbal and written).
\n\tGood understanding of action orientation.
\n\tAdvanced understanding of organising.
\n\tAdvanced understanding of decision, quality & problem solving.
\n\tGood understanding of valuing diversity.
\n\tAbility to manage and lead a team.
\n\tMust be medically fit as per company standards.
\n\tA driver\u2019s license will be advantageous.<\/p>\n
