MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB<\/p>\n
\tThe Clinical Facilitator plans and facilitates identified training and development interventions to ensure competency of all staff. They can be allocated to a specialist unit (e.g. the ICU) or work across the nursing units of a hospital.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS<\/p>\n
\tDevelop the competence of all nursing staff.
\n\tEnsure the correct application of nursing procedures and policies.
\n\tIdentify training needs to guide the development of appropriate clinical training interventions.
\n\tPromote a culture of continuous professional development.<\/p>\n
REQUIRED EDUCATION<\/p>\n
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION<\/p>\n
\tProfessional Nurse qualification, and\u00a0Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Education OR 3 years experience as a mentor, and\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tPostgraduate Diploma in Nursing if a Clinical Facilitator in a specialist unit (e.g. Perioperative Nursing) and a certificate of competence in Generic Assessment (Assessor course)<\/p>\n
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n

\t3 years of Professional Nurse experience in a hospital
