JOB PURPOSE<\/p>\n
\tTo ensure the reliable and safe operation of all instrumentation and control systems on site. The ICE Technician will proactively maintain instrumentation and control systems, respond to breakdowns, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance plant performance, availability, and efficiency.<\/p>\n
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE<\/p>\n
Instrumentation Maintenance<\/p>\n
\tPerform routine preventive and predictive maintenance on various instrumentation, PLC panels, Marshalling Boxes and actuators.
\n\tCalibrate, Diagnose and repair faults on field devices (level probes, moisture meter, load cell transmitters, temperature sensors, pressure transmitters, flow meters, weighfeeders, and other ICE \u00a0equipment)
\n\tMaintain and update all electrical and instrumentation documentation including wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and PLC I\/O lists.<\/p>\n
Automation System Support<\/p>\n
\tSupport the performance and reliability of PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens S7, Foxboro I\/A Series DCS, Allen Bradley, etc.).
\n\tConduct PLC fault-finding using diagnostic tools and software.
\n\tTroubleshooting of fieldbus networks (e.g Profinet, Profibus, AS-I etc)
\n\tAssist in uploading and downloading PLC\/HMI programs during device replacement or software updates.<\/p>\n
Shift Support & Breakdown Response<\/p>\n
\tProvide rapid and effective technical support during shift breakdowns to minimize downtime.
\n\tParticipate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
\n\tMaintain communication with production and engineering teams to coordinate repair work during operations.
\n\tCoach and support artisans and operators on first line troubleshooting<\/p>\n
Compliance and Safety<\/p>\n
\tEnsure all work is carried out safely and complies with site safety standards and Unilever safety policies (LOTOTO, Permit to Work, Electrical Safety, etc.).
\n\tConduct inspections and audits on safety-critical electrical systems.
\n\tParticipate in risk assessments and hazard identification.<\/p>\n
Asset Care & Continuous Improvement<\/p>\n
\tParticipate in equipment reliability and process improvement projects.
\n\tContribute to process control efficiency initiatives.
\n\tUse CMMS (e.g. BuildApp, SAP PM) to record work orders, history, and spares usage accurately.<\/p>\n
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED<\/p>\n
Experiences & Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tNational\/Advanced Diploma and Trade Certificate in Instrumentation, Electrical\/Electronic\/Mechatronics Engineering.
\n\tAt least 3+ years solid Instrumentation and Control experience in an FMCG environment.
\n\tStrong understanding of Siemens (WinCC, TIA Portal, Simatic S7) and Rockwell (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View ME\/SE) Control Systems
\n\tGood understanding of Foxboro DCS and general SCADA systems
\n\tAbility to read and interpret technical diagrams (e.g. Loop drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs) schematics, and manuals
\n\tAbility to install, configure and calibrate process instrumentation (e.g load cells, temperature probes, level transmitters, etc)
\n\tKnowledge of process instrumentation and control systems standards
\n\tKnowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices.
\n\tUnderstand interaction of equipment and systems and diagnose electronic\/electrical and pneumatic systems.
\n\tExpress ideas clearly (verbal and written) and work from verbal and written instructions, manuals, wiring diagrams, work orders and specifications.<\/p>\n
Skills<\/p>\n
\tStrong instrumentation, control systems and fieldbus networks troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
\n\tExcellent communication and teamwork abilities.
\n\tGood interpersonal skills
\n\tComputer literate with knowledge of MS Office
