\tBidvest Tank Terminals is looking to fill a Training Supervisor position, to be based within the Durban Business Unit and reporting to the Training Manager. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for providing a service in all areas of Training and ensuring that the Durban training centre is well supervised, with effective coordination and administration of all activities.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMatric
\n\tSkills Facilitation, Assessor and Moderator Certification.
\n\tChemical Engineering\/Chemical Plant Operations\/Safety Qualification
\n\tMinimum 5 years of previous training\/supervisory experience
\n\tODETDP\/ Training related Diploma\/Degree would be advantageous.
\n\tThorough understanding of BTT operations and experience dealing with people,
\n\t3 years of handling bulk chemicals and tank farm experience<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tLiaise with stakeholders to determine training needs and ensure compliance with BTT policies and procedures
\n\tOversee daily activities of the Durban training centre and supervise staff
\n\tPlan and coordinate all internal and external training interventions,
\n\tMaintain training facilities and resources, keeping training records and databases up to date
\n\tConduct regular meetings to discuss training plans and audit feedback.
\n\tAssist with BTT course and Training Centre accreditation
\n\tProvide accurate stats and monthly reports to the Training Manager
\n\tDeliver theoretical and practical training, managing evaluations and addressing questions
\n\tCollaborate with Supervisors to identify training needs and prepare candidates
\n\tPlan weekly training schedules and maintain records of employee activities
\n\tEnsure compliance with BTT Standards during training and assist with certification
\n\tEnsures all internal training material is updated, relevant and compliant with legislation and BTT Standards & Procedures (in consultation with, and signed off by, BTT subject matters)
\n\tRecord all employee training activities using training registers, checklists, PJOs, evaluations, etc<\/p>\n
\u00a0Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required<\/p>\n
\tAttention to detail, and accuracy with figures
\n\tGood interpersonal and communication skills
\n\tAbility to speak Zulu preferable
\n\tGood administrative and report-writing skills
\n\tThorough understanding of BTT operations
\n\tGood working knowledge of computer systems
\n\tKnowledge of Skills Development Legislation
\n\tWorking knowledge of Chemical sector and reporting requirements
\n\tThorough knowledge of all sites, including all aspects of Safety, Health, Environment and Fire systems on site
\n\tOHS Act knowledge and ISO Systems<\/p>\n
