\n\tDiploma + Advanced Diploma \/ B-Degree in IT, Computer Science or related field (NQF Level 7)
\n\tInformation Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Certification is essential.

\nOperational Management<\/p>\n
\tContribute towards the development of an operational strategy for the Division and ensure alignment of this strategy with the plan for the ICT Business Applications business unit overall.
\n\tEnsure productivity and efficiency is measured effectively against set objectives and implement improvements where required.
\n\tManage and ensure the drive of continuous improvement activities.
\n\tManage the business unit and ensure that it contributes to the achievement of business objectives
\n\tManage operations effectively to deliver services within timelines and prescribed quality through effective resource management
\n\tManage the provision of ICT Business Applications services to support the delivery of SABS Strategic objectives
\n\tUse insights gained through business information to compile reports, and metrics to measure success and inform the business decisions within area of responsibility
\n\tManage the business application vendor contracts to ensure that robust business applications are performing optimally.
\n\tManage the standards, policies and procedures for the development of business applications.
\n\tLead the development of software standards for the SABS.<\/p>\n
Functional Management<\/p>\n

\n\tManage the identification, prioritization, and specification of business applications and agree on the business functional and technical requirements covering the full scope of all initiatives required to achieve the expected outcomes of the ICT environment.
\n\tManage and maintain the standardization of SABS applications.
\n\tAct as a subject matter expert within the organisation on all spheres related to ICT business application and the management thereof.
\n\tConduct regular research on new ICT developments for the purposes of maintaining the business applications.
\n\tEnsure the SABS web applications \/ sites are continuously improved and maintained using optimisation tactics \/ best practice
\n\tEnsure the availability of a secure and integrated software application system.
\n\tDrive software development in line with business requirements and standards through the engagement and management of third-party solutions developers.
\n\tEnsure the effective provision of solution delivery, operations, enhancement and maintenance of systems.
\n\tOversee the management of the ICT business application disaster recovery (DR) plan including data security and integrity procedures to reduce risk and ensure business continuity.
\n\tManage and resolve all ICT business application audit queries.
\n\tDrive compliance of corporate governance related to the ICT portfolio within scope of control.
\n\tImplement the ICT test strategy and the overall approach to organising testing and allocating testing resources
\n\tDrive the adoption of a test policy for the testing of new or changed services
\n\tManage all test events (i.e. incidents, problems and retest new or changed services) and test environment requirements including communication to stakeholders
\n\tEstablish \u00a0testing \u00a0processes, \u00a0standards, \u00a0procedures \u00a0and \u00a0guidelines \u00a0in \u00a0accordance \u00a0with \u00a0the \u00a0application \u00a0management \u00a0lifecycle \u00a0and industry standards and best practice test management tools
\n\tCreate appropriate testing approaches to ensure a new or changed service is tested with operability in mind
\n\tManage the preparation and maintenance of test tools, test scripts and testing issue logs
\n\tDefine and implement testing control disciplines including risk mitigation processes<\/p>\n
Risk and Compliance Management\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tEnsure the mitigation of the business unit\u2019s risk profile through the identification and application of fraud controls and risk prevention principles and implementing of sound governance and compliance processes and tools to identify and manage risks.
\n\tResponsible for the coordination and maintenance of quality risk management in line with relevant standards, Accreditation and regulatory requirements.
\n\tMonitor changes in the legislative and regulatory environment and ensure that appropriate operational controls are implemented to address new requirements.
\n\tDrive the implementation of compliance with policies aimed at strengthening the SABS brand and stakeholder interface.
\n\tSupport and provide evidence to all internal and external audit, Accreditation and regulatory requirements.
\n\tOversee the maintenance and effective implementation of Service Level Agreements \/ contracts to minimise business risk and ensure business continuity.
\n\tImplement ICT governance, risk and compliance framework to protect the organisation\u2019s information assets
\n\tEnsure adherence in the team to all relevant laws, policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
\n\tProactively evaluate related risks against changing trends and market\/economic conditions.<\/p>\n
Financial Management<\/p>\n
\tProvide input in the planning and compilation of the annual budget aligned to the tactical delivery plans to support the implementation of set objectives.
\n\tEnsure the effective implementation, management, monitoring of the budget, and mitigate and report on any variances.
\n\tEnsure the deployment of proper financial controls to manage the budget.<\/p>\n
