Job Description<\/p>\n
\tOptimi is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing creditors, processing accurate financial transactions, and ensuring all payments and reconciliations are completed timeously. This role requires a high level of accuracy, organisational skills, and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12
\n\tDiploma or degree in Finance or Accounting (advantageous)
\n\tMinimum of 5 years in a creditors\/accounts payable role
\n\tStrong financial comprehension, with proven reconciliation experience
\n\tProficiency in Microsoft 365 (essential), strong Excel skills preferred
\n\tExcellent verbal and written English communication skills
\n\tHigh attention to detail and accuracy<\/p>\n
DUTIES<\/p>\n
\tLoad beneficiaries with correct supporting documents.
\n\tPerform reconciliations to the age analysis.
\n\tEnsure timely submission of all payments.
\n\tProcess expenses with correct supporting documents.
\n\tVerify all expenses are properly authorised.
\n\tAssist with account reconciliations.
\n\tAccurately capture supplier invoices\/credit notes in the correct period.
\n\tEnsure invoices are addressed to the correct entity.
\n\tVerify purchase requisitions (PRs) are completed and authorised.
\n\tRaise required accruals when invoices are outstanding and maintain accrual schedules.
\n\tFollow up on invoices for accrued expenses.
\n\tCapture intercompany transactions accurately and in the correct period.
\n\tReconcile Accounts Payable balances with intercompany Accounts Receivable.
\n\tClear balances monthly and resolve queries promptly.
\n\tReport unresolved significant queries.
\n\tProvide support to team members when required.<\/p>\n
