Purpose of Job<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement a continuous input into financial and business decision-making at tactical\/operational level, the completion of financial accounting reports and the day to day execution of financial related activities, as well as ensuring the integrity of the General Ledger and Trial balance to ensure accurate and timely reporting on a monthly basis.<\/p>\n
Key Accountabilities<\/p>\n
\tPopulate monthly financial information in OneStream.
\n\tTimeous and accurate completion of monthly reporting.
\n\tPrepare Business Unit Statutory Reporting and compliance process. Coordination and Preparation of 5 year ST and LT Budget, full balance sheet and income statement up to submitted status on OneStream.
\n\tCoordination between all BU stakeholders and shareholders relating to budgets, forecasts, actuals.
\n\tEffective statutory reporting execution taking into account group timelines and requirements.
\n\tPrepare and review of stand-alone Business Unit Annual Financial statements, where applicable.
\n\tStakeholder\/Interface Management – Network with key stakeholders in the Group and provide guidance to BU financial teams in terms of compliance to reporting frameworks.
\n\tProvide financial information to External & Internal auditors.
\n\tCommon understanding and implementation of accounting standards and issues.
\n\tDetailed understanding of OneStream\/OneSource reporting packs and the Sasol accounting manual.
\n\tAudit findings\/recommendations are considered and implemented.
\n\tEffective external\/internal auditor relationships to meet reporting requirements\/deadlines.
\n\tPrepare OneStream\/OneSource reporting packs, minimal errors.
\n\tEnsure the integrity of the GL accounts and the structure of the ledger.
\n\tLedger provides adequate reporting information and ensures transactions take place in a controlled environment.
\n\tGood understanding of SAP to ensure alignment with management reporting objectives and requirements.
\n\tMonth end and year end closing managed per timetable.
\n\tPrepare GL to assist reporting in Onestream. Data in systems aligned with Group requirements.
\n\tProvide financial information for Business Unit reporting.
\n\tAccurate and timeous month-end reporting in accordance with Group timelines and requirements.
\n\tProvide inputs to the Cash flow forecasting process.
\n\tAccurate and timeous financial information for reporting purposes.
\n\tPerform monthly GL and\/or sub ledger reconciliations.
\n\tAccurate and timeous complete GL accounts\/reconciliations.
\n\tReviews and validates GL reconciliations.
\n\tEnsure all GL reconciliations are performed and completed audit files are delivered for review.
\n\tComply with requirements in terms of controls over financial reporting and GL.
\n\tPerform monthly SOX controls.
\n\tPerform SOX testing during testing cycles for financial reporting and GL.
\n\tMonthly and annual Rehabilitation provision calculations and updates.
\n\tPrepare reports required for Govcom\/Opscom\/Board cycles
\n\tProvide the necessary information within prescribed deadlines to external and internal auditors to ensure audits are seamless and completed timeously.
\n\tHigh quality audit file, with all necessary supporting documentation prepared.
\n\tMinimal audit findings, timely mitigated.
\n\tTechnical issues timeously identified and actioned.
\n\tFirst preparer of RPC technical position papers.
\n\tPresent at OME RPC Prepare position papers for discussion at the OME RPC.
\n\tEngage with Group Technical department to align concept before Group RPC.
\n\tMonthly and annual Tax calculations and tax returns (Income Tax and Carbon Tax).
\n\tPreparation of tax returns in conjunction with Group Tax Services. Timeous and accurate completion of tax returns. STATS SA reporting completed timeously.
\n\tQueries are handled effectively and efficiently.<\/p>\n
Formal Education<\/p>\n
\tB.Com Hons Accounting \/ CTA or equivalent with articles and with 2+ years relevant experience
\n\tProven technical financial reporting skills<\/p>\n
