Business Partnering<\/p>\n
\tDesign, maintain and improve upon robust budgeting model (record trends, understand drivers, correlation, sensitivities, dependencies)
\n\tPrioritise and manage business demands and business partner expectations.
\n\tFacilitation of channel cluster budget and forecast planning cycles.\u00a0
\n\tPerform analysis and provide commentary on month-end variances against budgets, forecasts and prior years.
\n\tPreparation and analysis of monthly rolling forecasts for Group submission
\n\tCash flow management through preparation of 24-month treasury forecasts and tracking that actual outcomes align to forecasts.
\n\tExtract, combine and summarise data to analyse the financial impact of new initiatives and effectively communicating key findings to senior leadership to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions.
\n\tDeveloping metrics and reports to provide monitoring for new initiatives.
\n\tProactively partner with business to identify and evaluate opportunities to improve bottom line business performance and ensure that change initiatives are implemented.
\n\tPolicy compliance custodian for the channel clusters.
\n\tTracking business & content financial objectives, as well as projecting and monitoring run rates to ensure that set targets are met.\u00a0
\n\tProvide support for ad hoc analysis and requests pertaining to outlooks and projects<\/p>\n
Financial Reporting & Analysis<\/p>\n
\tPrepare month end reporting packs for analysis.
\n\tAdhere to Group reporting deadlines including month end; forecasts; budgets; half-year and year-end.
\n\tReview\/ prepare schedules and reports for statutory reporting packs for half-year and year-end reporting periods.\u00a0
\n\tPreparation and review of periodic content related journals and accounting entries
\n\tParticipate in business unit meetings to provide feedback on results and impact of business plans.\u00a0
\n\tPrepare key content & content related Balance sheet reconciliations.
\n\tConsult with the Shared Services and auditors to prepare and assist with internal and statutory audits.
\n\tTracking and management of the procurement process and related key stats
\n\tContent inventory assessment and management (past due and expiring content, system costing and loading errors, content aging, allocation assessments).
\n\tSupporting the continuous development and maintenance of the Synergy Content system in response to changes in content strategy.
\n\tContinuous assessment of the content system and processes in maintain and supplement internal controls.
\n\tCompliance: Regulatory and studio reporting in line with legislation and contractual obligations.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tMust be a CA(SA)\u00a0<\/p>\n
Experience \/ Skills<\/p>\n
\tA minimum 5 \u2013 8 years in a Finance Analyst role
\n\tDetailed commercial and financial acumen, balanced with creative flair
\n\tHands-on experience with financial analysis, modelling and report building
\n\tExposure to a multi-currency environment, including African currencies
\n\tSound knowledge of IFRS and Taxation rules
\n\tIndustry understanding and experience would be advantageous
\n\tStrong communication and relationship building skills<\/p>\n
