\tHi-Performance-Midas is searching for a Debtors Clerk to join the team in Vanderbijlpark .
\n\tThe purpose of this position is to confidently liaise and resolve problems with customers and other employees who can assist in settling issues on debtors\u2019 accounts in adherence to company procedures and accounting standards.<\/p>\n
Specific Role Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMaintaining of debtors\u2019 accounts to ensure that they are timeously and accurately updated
\n\tMonitoring of movements in accounts and the investigation of all unusual items
\n\tReconciliation of statements and debtor payments
\n\tAccurately calculating settlement discount where applicable
\n\tMatching payments correctly to Debtor\u2019s account
\n\tThe raising and capturing of adjusting journals in debtor\u2019s accounts
\n\tDaily liaison with customers regarding outstanding payments or queries
\n\tTimeous completing of Debtor Input Sheet and other documents needed for daily DSS
\n\tDo timeous follow ups on all queries regarding debtors\u2019 accounts.
\n\tAny other Ad hoc duties related to debtors\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 with preferably bookkeeping, business economics & mathematics
\n\tExperience in handling Debtors\u2019 Accounts- Essential\u00a0
\n\tRelevant bookkeeping experience in a company
\n\tThe ability to investigate problems and discrepancies, to identify the problem areas and to then solve the problems without delay
\n\tA solid grasp of the basic accounting principle of double entry-Essential\u00a0
\n\tComfortable with computerised ledgers
\n\tA solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
\n\tAbility to liaise with customers, other employees, and head office
\n\tOrganised and disciplined approach to daily accounting tasks and administration
\n\tA high level of competency in the standard of work
\n\tWork well under pressure\u00a0
\n\tAbility to work with different personality types as well as the self-confidence to enforce, when necessary,<\/p>\n
