Stoma Nurse: \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tColoplast has an opportunity for a Stoma Care Nurse to join our South African nursing team. \u00a0
\n\tAs a registered nurse, this individual provides clinical expertise in pre- and post-operative services and the day-to-day management of ostomates.<\/p>\n
Major Areas of Accountability<\/p>\n
\tRepresent Coloplast as a Clinical Expert
\n\tMaintain professional credentials and education to maintain status as a clinical expert through board certification as a nurse.
\n\tAct as a clinical liaison to ostomates with regards to planned surgical procedure, impact of living with a stoma and ostomy care.\u00a0
\n\tSupport in-hospital stoma clinics in collaboration with hospital employed staff.
\n\tSet up new support centres for end users.
\n\tDeliver education to a diverse group of internal and external customers as well as end users.
\n\tAttend approved national and regional conferences and tradeshows as a Coloplast representative.
\n\tReport back to senior leadership key clinical learnings and opportunities.<\/p>\n
Essential Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tRegistered Nurse with a bachelor\u2019s degree\/diploma in nursing\u00a0
\n\t1+ years\u2019 experience in a clinical setting working with patients and\/or end users
\n\tPrevious medical industry experience an asset
\n\tNational and domestic travel required\u00a0
\n\tMust permanently reside in the Johannesburg region\u00a0
\n\tDrivers license\u00a0<\/p>\n
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities<\/p>\n
\tEffective written and presentation skills
\n\tAbility to read, analyse and interpret clinical publications
\n\tProven success with organization and time management skills
\n\tProficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint
\n\tAbility to tailor training and education in order to serve many audiences
\n\tHigh attention to clinical outcome and follow-through
\n\tThe ability to prioritize multiple tasks in order to support internal and external customers as well as end users.
\n\tMust be self-driven with the ability to work independently<\/p>\n
