Requirements<\/p>\n
\tNursing Diploma or Degree with South African Nursing Council (SANC) registration
\n\tNIMART certification
\n\tAt least 5 years nursing experience post-graduation
\n\tAt least 2 years of nursing experience in a HIV treatment environment
\n\tAt least 1 year of experience working in a research environment as research nurse
\n\tFluency in English and or isiXhosa
\n\tComputer literacy with sound knowledge of email, Microsoft office suite
\n\tStrong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
\n\tAbility to work well under pressure and to maintain effectiveness during changing conditions
\n\tAbility to work harmoniously with people of diverse backgrounds
\n\tClient focused
\n\tAdministration skills
\n\tMust be able to work in a team and independently
\n\tMust be detail orientated
\n\tValid drivers\u2019 license
\n\tWillingness to travel between clinics in the Mitchells Plain\/Klipfontein district\u00a0<\/p>\n

\tCurrent GCP certificate
\n\tExperience of working with adolescents in the health sector\/clinical environment
\n\tExperience working with and taking blood samples from infants
\n\tKnowledge of HIV including antiretroviral therapy and pre-exposure prophylaxis

\u00a0Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tOversee and tracking recruitment of eligible participants \/ booking and recalling participants
\n\tOversee participant management activities
\n\tFollow-up results and update data system
\n\tRequisition of medical supplies, stock management and control
\n\tPerform required clinical duties as indicated and as per qualification\/competence
\n\tMaintaining strict client confidentiality
\n\tOversee and providing pre- and post-test counselling, as well as ART adherence counselling as needed.
\n\tOversee and conduct HIV testing
\n\tObtaining blood and tissue samples and processing them as required
\n\tConducting study procedures as per study specific protocol e.g.\u00a0 STI testing using Point of Care machine, CD4 count testing, Electrocardiogram (ECG\u2019s), spirometry testing, etc. if applicable
\n\tCommunication with the laboratory regarding query resolution e.g. Data correction
\n\tPerforming other client care procedures as required
\n\tEntering data on case report forms (CRF\u2019s) and electronic data base and processing\u00a0required
\n\tPerforming Quality Control (QC) checks on Point of Care devices as required.
\n\tPerforming Quality Control (QC) checks on CRFs and source documents
\n\tProviding feedback to staff regarding common errors as part of the QC process
\n\tManaging filing of CRFs, source documents and laboratory reports<\/p>\n
