\tCoordinate field production schedules for Anchors, Reporters, Producers, and camera crews.
\n\tArrange and confirm transport, accommodation, permits, and access requirements for field assignments.
\n\tEnsure that all necessary production and technical equipment is available, functional, and delivered on time to field teams.
\n\tLiaise with editorial teams to align coverage priorities with operational capabilities.
\n\tResponsible for all catering requirements during big Outside Broadcasts
\n\tLiaise with event organisers to secure venues, times, and dates.
\n\tConduct site inspections and assess the suitability of venues for broadcast requirements.
\n\tDraft a detailed and clear broadcast plan to guide the various production teams.
\n\tCommunicate permissions and requirements with event organisers.<\/p>\n
Field Operations Support<\/p>\n
\tAct as the primary contact between newsroom, field crews, and technical teams during assignments.
\n\tMonitor field deployments to ensure safety protocols are upheld.
\n\tTroubleshoot logistical or technical issues as they arise in the field.
\n\tFacilitate real-time communication between field teams and the studio.<\/p>\n
Administration & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tTrack broadcast budgets, costs, and resource allocation for field operations.
\n\tMaintain accurate records of crew deployments, equipment usage, and incident reports.
\n\tEnsure compliance with company policies, broadcasting regulations, and legal requirements (e.g., permits, contracts).<\/p>\n
Broadcast Liaison<\/p>\n
\tMaintain strong coordination with the Broadcast Manager, Tech Crews and Logistics.
\n\tCommunicate permissions and requirements with event organisers.
\n\tBrief all stakeholders including camera crew, reporters, and guests.
\n\tSupport field crews with day-to-day needs to maximize efficiency.
\n\tBrief teams before deployment and debrief after assignments.
\n\tBuilding, supporting and maintaining interpersonal and team relationships to ensure stable working environment and achievement of team objectives.<\/p>\n
Health, Safety & Risk Management<\/p>\n
\tConduct risk assessments for field assignments.
\n\tEnsure crew safety, including adherence to health and safety guidelines, especially in high-risk zones.
\n\tArrange medical support, insurance, and emergency contacts when required.<\/p>\n
Technical & Production Support<\/p>\n
\tOperate and advise on use of SNG vans, LiveU, eLink and other broadcasting tools as needed.
\n\tSupport technical setup for live links (e.g., OB units, satellite, mobile journalism kits).
\n\tTroubleshoot on-site production issues in real-time.<\/p>\n

\tHigher Certificate in\u00a0Media and\/or Journalism and\/or Communications and\/or TV Production and\/or a related field – Essential
\n\tDiploma in\u00a0Media and\/or Journalism and\/or Communications and\/or TV Production and\/or a related field – Recommended
\n\tBachelor Honours Degree in\u00a0Media and\/or Journalism and\/or Communications and\/or TV Production and\/or a related field – Recommended<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\t3 years in\u00a0Television production (preferably in news) – Essential
\n\tDrivers Licences – Essential<\/p>\n
