\tWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established client in Johannesburg seeking an experienced Substation Engineer to join their growing infrastructure team.
\n\tThis is a dynamic and technically challenging role focused on the design, development, and delivery of high-voltage transmission systems and substations that form the backbone of energy infrastructure.<\/p>\n
Key \u00a0Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tBSc, BEng, or BTech in Electrical Engineering.
\n\tProfessionally registered with ECSA (PrEng or PrTech), or eligible for registration.
\n\tMinimum 8 years of relevant experience
\n\tProcurement of electrical plant and equipment for large infrastructure projects.
\n\tElectrical substation design and construction.
\n\tHV and EHV transmission systems.
\n\tCommissioning of substations (advantageous).
\n\tStrong stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills.
\n\tProficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and substation design software (CDEGS, ETAP, DIgSILENT).
\n\tAble to think analytically and act with initiative in complex project environments.
\n\tDesigning, maintaining, and optimizing high-voltage electrical systems that transport power from generation sources through substations to distribution networks.<\/p>\n
