Quality Assurance Technician<\/p>\n
\tAfrimat Industries is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technician with at least 3 years general laboratory experience in process plant production. In this role the successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring high laboratory equipment\u2019s reliability, availability and precision.<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications \/ Experience:<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma or Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
\n\tAt least 3 years\u2019 general laboratory experience working with natural hard materials.
\n\tGood experience of Physical Lab Equipment (XRF and LECO \u2013 CV and Sulphur
\n\tDetermination) will be an added advantage.
\n\tPeople leadership skills.
\n\tExperience in construction and\/or cement manufacturing will be an added advantage.
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):<\/p>\n
\tEnsure laboratory equipment is maintained and always in good working condition.
\n\tPerform monitoring of reference samples under reference methods.
\n\tMonitor and solve issues related to quality of measurements.
\n\tLiaise with external service providers for planned maintenance or resolution of breakdowns in Lab equipment.
\n\tCollect samples for standard compliance checks and follow up daily for the results of reference sample monitoring.
\n\tEnsure continuous communication to the team on safety related matters.
\n\tTrain Lab Operators in accordance with technical required standards.<\/p>\n
