What you will do<\/p>\n
\tYou will partner with cross-functional teams and external partners in preparing new medicine launches to ensure that AstraZeneca\u2019s life-changing medicines reach as many patients as possible. You will be part of a dynamic team that lays the groundwork for Pricing, Reimbursement, Health Technology Assessment and Patient Access. This role will report to the Market Access and Government Affairs Director and will be field-based. You will be responsible for achieving reimbursement of high-value Oncology and Haematology molecules by Private Funders through:
\n\tScientific engagements with Funders at Medical Aid Schemes, Medical Aid Scheme Administrators and Managed Healthcare Organizations for optimal reimbursement through evidence-based decision-making.
\n\tIdentify evidence requirements and utilize clinical trials to support value story.
\n\tBuilding relationships with key players and their influencers through 1:1 and group scientific engagements.
\n\tParticipating in relevant Scientific Society meetings; industry meetings; and feedback to cross-functional team(s) for input into trends in diagnosis, monitoring, and treatments in the therapeutic area, etc.
\n\tCommunicating Product Value utilizing Health Economics Tools e.g. Health Technology Assessment; Innovative Value Solutions, amongst others.
\n\tBuild relevant, solid value arguments with supporting health economic and budget impact analysis.<\/p>\n
Typical accountabilities will include<\/p>\n
\tTo ensure that selected BioPharma Rare Diseases & Immunology products are readily available through the removal of reimbursement hurdles and to identify access expansion opportunities.
\n\tDevelop & maintain scientific expertise of company products and related therapeutic areas.
\n\tKeep abreast of cutting-edge research and literature in respective therapeutic areas.
\n\tSupport commercial field teams in addressing reimbursement or access challenges.
\n\tDevelop strategies and tools to enable the early identification of eligible patients for AZ products.
\n\tFunder Engagement and scientific support for BioPharma Rare Diseases & Immunology products.
\n\tScientific Ambassador to achieve competitive advantage and expand access to treatment through increased reimbursement. \u00a0
\n\tInterpretation and the tailoring of available evidence to support funding of AZ brands in collaboration with the medical division.
\n\tEstablishing sustainable stakeholder relationship based on scientific rigor and integrity with Medical Aid Schemes; Medical Aid Scheme Administrators; Drug Formulary Committees; Patient Advocacy Groups; Patient Access Programs and Patient Support Programs, amongst others.
\n\tCapability Building for stakeholders to establish funding and\/or increased access to treatment.
\n\tDeveloping Clinical Reimbursement Dossiers and other tools for clinical engagements with stakeholders for funding purposes.
\n\tFoster Collaboration between Academia, HCP\u2019s, Funders and Guideline Associations.
\n\tObtain feedback and funding advice on AZ Brands through peer-to-peer interactions and\/or Access Advisory Boards.
\n\tAttend and actively participate in relevant working groups at Industry Associations.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED<\/p>\n
\tCompleted PhD- Doctorate Degree in Science
\n\tAt least 2 years\u2019 experience in a Science Liaison or Market Access role
\n\tExperience in relationship and stakeholder management.
\n\tPharma Experience
\n\tVery good command of English
\n\tUnderstanding of multiple aspects of Market Access; Clinical evidence would be advantageous
\n\tKnowledge of the latest technical and regulatory developments.<\/p>\n
