Job Purpose:<\/p>\n
\tTo manage a diverse client portfolio consisting of individuals, companies, close corporations, and trusts by providing turnkey accounting, tax, payroll, and compliance services while maintaining strong client relationships.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS
\nMinimum education (essential):<\/p>\n
\tBCom degree in accounting<\/p>\n
Minimum applicable experience (years):<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 1 year post-articles experience in accounting<\/p>\n
Required nature of experience:<\/p>\n
\tManaging client portfolios (individual taxpayers, companies, CCs, trusts)
\n\tPerforming bookkeeping, management accounts, and payroll
\n\tPreparing annual financial statements (IFRS for SME)
\n\tVAT, PAYE, and SARS compliance
\n\tClient onboarding and resource planning<\/p>\n
Skills and Knowledge (essential):<\/p>\n
\tStrong technical knowledge of accounting and tax principles
\n\tExcellent relationship management skills
\n\tUp-to-date knowledge of tax developments
\n\tProficiency in Xero, SimplePay, Draftworx, and eFiling<\/p>\n
Other:<\/p>\n
\tProficient in Afrikaans and English
\n\tOwn transport and license
\n\tSAIPA \/ CIMA \/ AGA(SA) membership advantageous<\/p>\n
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS<\/p>\n
\tManage a client portfolio consisting of individual taxpayers, companies, close corporations, and trusts.
\n\tResource planning with regards to deadlines and new client onboarding.
\n\tGather necessary financial information, including bank statements and third-party supporting documents.
\n\tPerform monthly bookkeeping, management accounts, and payroll for clients.
\n\tPrepare annual financial statements, primarily IFRS for SMEs.
\n\tCalculate VAT, PAYE, and other statutory requirements on a monthly basis.
\n\tEnsure client regulatory compliance with CIPC, DoL, and SARS.
\n\tMaintain professional and technical knowledge by staying up to date on the latest tax and accounting developments.
\n\tBuild and maintain excellent client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
\n\tSupport clients\u2019 growth and sustainability goals.<\/p>\n
