\tDis-Chem Pharmacies requires a\u00a0 Casual cashier for the Magalieshill Brits store. To support customer service at point of sale while ensuring a world-class shopping experience.
\n\tRecord customer transactions on the Dis-Chem operating system according to company policies & standard operating procedures, with zero tolerance toward inaccuracies & elimination of fraud risk<\/p>\n
Essential:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 \/ Matric
\n\tA minimum of 6 months\u2019 experience cashier\/till operations experience
\n\tComputer literate \u2013 MS Office
\n\tSound numerical skills
\n\tStrong command of the English language
\n\tBasic customer service
\n\tWilling and able to work retail hours<\/p>\n
Job Description:<\/p>\n
\tAdhere to Dis-Chem\u2019s customer service policies and procedures
\n\tEstablish a professional relationship with customers
\n\tReport customer complaints and compliments to the Frontline Supervisor, or store management
\n\tAdhere to the customer turnover hourly rate
\n\tBe aware of current sales and promotions
\n\tEnsure colleagues and customers are not exposed to any risk
\n\tCarry out and manage Dis-Chem 5 star communication principles
\n\tBe responsible for cash flow
\n\tEnsure all line voids and price changes are approved and signed off by the supervisor
\n\tExchange merchandise for customers and accept returned goods by customers when authorised to do so
\n\tTransact all purchases \u2013 receive and process all payments (cash, bank cards, vouchers, coupons, other forms of payments) accepted by Dis-Chem
\n\tProcess all loyalty cards including those of our accelerator partners (Discovery Health Care, Medihelp Lifestage, Momentum Multiply, Legacy Lifestyle, ABSA Rewards and eBucks)
\n\tEnsure cash is placed in drop safe according to Dis-Chem\u2019s SOPs
\n\tEnsure usage of your code and password is restricted to only you; is safe, and is changed regularly
\n\tEnsure all outgoing stock\/items\/scripts are scanned and paid for
\n\tEnsure that all money is strictly kept safely and securely inside the till
\n\tHandle daily takings confidentially, and only discuss with management
\n\tBe alert, recognise and report suspicious behaviour to management
\n\tAddress queries regarding store merchandise
\n\tAdhere to Dis-Chem\u2019s security policies and procedures<\/p>\n
