Core Description<\/p>\n
\tProvide support during the entire budgeting process, from the forecasting of the budget and the preparation of the budget plan through to reporting on expenditure against the budget.<\/p>\n
Key Deliverables \/ Primary Functions<\/p>\n
\tProvide input into the budget forecasts for the respective business unit
\n\tPrepare an annual budget plan and guideline document pack for distribution to the business unit
\n\tFacilitate and coordinate the business unit\u2019s budgeting process
\n\tDevelop pricing and cost estimates based on assumptions and direction from the proposal team.
\n\tPrepare summaries that reflect financial projections related to business pursuits.
\n\tCoordinate and review pricing results and assumptions with functional leadership and proposal teams.
\n\tParticipate in the development and presentation of review material to leadership and proposal teams.
\n\tComplete other Pricing and related analysis as required.
\n\tEducate key stakeholders regarding aligning budgets with the strategic objectives of the organisation and business unit
\n\tConsult with business unit leaders and provide advice pertaining to budget planning and adjustments
\n\tIdentify possible cost saving mechanisms and opportunities and advise business unit leaders thereof
\n\tEnsure that the budget submissions are captured appropriately for allocation purposes
\n\tCheck that the approved budget reflects accurately once it has been captured
\n\tMonitor expenditure and ensure that expenditure does not exceed budget. Control budget overspend and provide advice regarding underspends
\n\tPrepare monthly management reports from the General Ledger of actual versus budget
\n\t\u00a0Perform a monthly analysis of the business units\u2019 expenditure against budget to ensure that sufficient funds are available
\n\tPrepare a high-level monthly and quarterly report for use by the management committees\u00a0<\/p>\n

Experience<\/p>\n
\t5 years of\u00a0\u00a0experience in finance, Business Commerce, Accounting, or related field<\/p>\n
