\tTWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Financial Manager within the Grain division at Pretoria, Gauteng.<\/p>\n
Job Summary<\/p>\n
\tThe Financial Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring the financial health of the organisation, and providing strategic guidance to senior management.
\n\tThis role involves managing financial planning, reporting, budgeting, compliance functions, working capital, process optimisation, internal controls, pricing strategies, and production cost monitoring to optimise financial performance.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities and Duties<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals
\n\tConduct financial analysis and modelling to assess risks and opportunities
\n\tPrepare and present financial forecasts and reports to senior management
\n\tAssist the Finance Executive and lead the annual budgeting process with input from department heads
\n\tMonitor budget performance and provide variance analysis with recommendations
\n\tRevise forecasts to reflect changing business conditions
\n\tEnsure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual)
\n\tOversee financial report consolidation across business units
\n\tMaintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
\n\tManage cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for operations
\n\tDevelop cash flow forecasts and optimise working capital
\n\tMonitor receivables, payables, and inventory to improve cash cycles
\n\tIdentify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
\n\tEnsure adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulations (incl. SAFEX)
\n\tCoordinate and support internal and external audits
\n\tManage capital expenditure projects in line with strategic goals
\n\tMonitor ROI and performance of key investments
\n\tDevelop and manage competitive, profit-focused pricing strategies
\n\tEnsure pricing accuracy and maintain pricing controls
\n\tAnalyse production costs and identify trends or variances
\n\tCollaborate with production to drive cost-saving initiatives
\n\tReport on production cost performance and suggest improvements
\n\tReview and enhance financial processes for efficiency and accuracy
\n\tImplement best practices and innovative solutions across teams
\n\tDesign, implement, and update internal control systems
\n\tTrain staff on control procedures and ensure compliance
\n\tLead and mentor the finance team to drive continuous improvement
\n\tConduct performance reviews and support professional development
\n\tCommunicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
\n\tPrepare board presentations and align finance with organisational goals<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Skills<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
\n\tChartered Accountant (CA(SA))
\n\t5 \u2013 7 years\u2019 experience in financial management
\n\tExtensive knowledge of financial management principles and practices
\n\tUnderstanding of the industry and its financial dynamics
\n\tFamiliarity with financial regulations, compliance standards and risk management
\n\tProficiency in financial software and tools
\n\tStrong leadership and team management skills
\n\tExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills
\n\tEffective communication and interpersonal skills
\n\tStrategic thinking and ability to influence decision making
\n\tHigh attention to detail and organisational skills
\n\tBilingual (Afrikaans and English) (advantageous)
\n\tValid Driver\u2019s License (Code 08)
\n\tWilling to travel<\/p>\n
