Role Purpose:<\/p>\n
\tThe purpose of the role is to execute performance management, forecasting, and reporting through coordination with appropriate business stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasting and delivery of results for Vodacom Business (VB).
\n\tThe support provided by the Specialist: VB Finance Business Partner is meant to ensure efficiency in operational and tactical decision-making, which is underpinned by robust financial reviews using analytics, business and commercial intelligence, and financial modelling<\/p>\n
Your responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n
\tFinancial Planning: Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecast.
\n\tFinancial Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for Vodacom and Vodafone. Provide analysis, insights, and controls over targets and actual performance measures and KPIs
\n\tOperating expenditure management: Ensure accurate reporting of VB Opex and guide the business towards the achievement of Opex targets through budgetary controls and the delivery of Opex productivity initiatives. Partner with the business in reviewing operations and recommending new productivity or cost-saving initiatives
\n\tSubsidiary (Xlink, Mezzanine, Nexio & IOT.Nxt) support and reporting: Track and reviewing monthly performance. Support with Budget process and ensure accuracy of forecasting.
\n\tMonth-end close process: Support Finance Operations to ensure accurate reporting of VB\u2019s financial results and position<\/p>\n
The ideal candidate for this role will have:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 5 years relevant experience
\n\t2 years\u2019 experience in FBP or financial reporting
\n\tSAICA articles would be an advantage
\n\tTechnology and Telco experience would be an advantage
\n\tTechnical\/professional qualifications:
\n\tBachelor\u2019s degree in accounting, Actuarial science, or applied mathematics \u2013 essential
\n\tPostgraduate qualification or finance professional qualification be an advantage e.g. CIMA, CA (SA), MBA \u2013 advantageous<\/p>\n
Job-Related Skills:<\/p>\n
\tStrong financial reporting skills
\n\tAnalytical skills
\n\tAdvanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint
\n\tWritten and verbal communication skills.
