\n\tKnowledge related to flora and vegetation monitoring techniques.
\n\tThorough understanding of different techniques that can be used for rehabilitation.
\n\tUnderstanding wetland assessments and practical knowledge on the principles of wetland offset and rehabilitation.
\n\tUnderstanding of practical methods of rehabilitation that are both feasible and cost effective.
\n\tUnderstanding of ecological principles and the impacts of mining on these both pre and post mining.
\n\tLegal knowledge associated with rehabilitation, as well as international standards and guidelines.
\n\tIdentification of potential shortcomings related to existing sites that have been rehabilitated and how to address these shortcomings.
\n\tMonitoring protocols that can be implemented post rehabilitation to monitor the success of rehabilitation.
\n\tMust be able to interact with multiple consulting disciplines and specifically contractor management.
\n\tLead the marketing of the company\u2019s different rehabilitation services we offer (rehabilitation implementation, rehabilitation plans; rehabilitation monitoring and audits).
\n\tAct as a key accounts manager for designated clients through regular meetings, networking, and fulfilling a project sponsor role.
\n\tEffective people management, which includes, development, recruitment, coaching and mentoring, disciplining, succession planning, budget, and performance management.
\n\tGrow our market share through upselling and cross selling the organisation\u2019s services to new and existing clients.
\n\tBuild and maintain relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
\n\tManagement of workload schedules for the department thereby ensuring effective workforce planning.
\n\tResearch new technological and legal developments and trends and communicate this to relevant stakeholders.
\n\tManage the development, growth,\u00a0and technical output of the Department.
\n\tProvide specialist studies that integrate into the EIA process as well as standalone specialist products.<\/p>\n
Key Requirements<\/p>\n
\tB.Sc. degree in Ecology or Natural Sciences (or similar)
\n\tProject Management Certificate would be beneficial.
\n\t8 or more years in the relevant field, preferably within consulting would be beneficial.
\n\tExperience in the mining and resources industry and international experience would be beneficial.
\n\tMust have a valid driver\u2019s license.
\n\tEnvironmental legislation.
\n\tLand Use Planning.
\n\tRehabilitation planning and contractor management
\n\tSpecialist studies relating to EIA processes.
\n\tPeople Management principles.
\n\tFinancial Management (Such as budgeting, forecasting etc.).
\n\tCustomer Management and Business Development
\n\tStrong Report Writing.
\n\tExcellent mentorship and coaching skills.
