\tParticipate in the conceptualisation of the business system to be developed or enhanced in line with approved business requirements.\u00a0
\n\tParticipate in the design of User Interface layout in accordance with approved functional and technical specification.
\n\tContribute to the development of system technical\/functional specifications.
\n\tConsult with Business Analyst to inform the design of system in accordance with approved user requirements specifications.
\n\tObtain approval from all interested parties through extensive consultations, testing, and quality assurance.
\n\tEnsure that the systems\/applications are developed or configured in accordance with applicable best practice standards and SAMSA Applications Architecture.
\n\tPropose enhancement opportunities for the systems\/applications within the SAMSA Applications Portfolio.
\n\tImplement enhancement in response to audit finding recommendations and related audit review recommendations.
\n\tEnsure standardisation of development technology platforms across the Applications Portfolio.
\n\tEnsure that the systems are highly integrated and secure to ensure optimal business operations.
\n\tEnsure development and customization of reports.
\n\tProvide technology advisory services relating to best platforms to be used to keep abreast with fast paced technology changes.
\n\tConduct unit testing as part of development or configuration process including participation in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) exercise.
\n\tEnsure that the systems\/applications are deployed in line with deployment procedure and related process.
\n\tProvide post implementation support to enable that the deployed system is stable and free from operational bugs.
\n\tIdentify training needs and provide recommendations to the system owner.
\n\tParticipate in the development of system user manuals.
\n\tParticipate in User Training including required system refresher training to ensure users are conversant with the system.
\n\tEnsure stable and reliable systems for SAMSA that are always functional and available to all users.
\n\tProvide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line applications support and maintenance to ensure highest levels of systems availability.
\n\tManage application upgrades and updates in line with maintenance schedules.
\n\tManage problem analysis and provide resolutions for business applications, where necessary escalate to external service providers.
\n\tEnsure that the systems attain high level of performance and availability.
\n\tEnsure effective management of user accounts, implementation of Segregation of Duty Matrix and associated reviews.
\n\tDevelop processes to manage utilization and optimization of business applications.
\n\tManage requested changes in line with the Change Management process and procedure.
\n\tContribute in the development of Disaster Recovery Plan and its associated testing to ensure availability of systems in an event of disaster.
\n\tManage business processes together with system owners (Internal and External stakeholders)
\n\tManage service providers engaged in the provisioning of services related to the maintenance of business application.
\n\tConduct regular meetings with Service Providers, keep records of outcomes and ensure escalated issues are follow-up.
\n\tManage SLA Targets to ensure they are achieved.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma in ICT or equivalent (NQF 6).
\n\tBachelors Degree in ICT or equivalent (NQF 7) would be an added advantage.
\n\tCERTIFICATE IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
\n\tProgramming Languages (OpenText-Documentum)
\n\tSQL
\n\tDevOps
\n\tITIL\u00a0<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\t5-7 years\u2019 working experience, of which 2 years should be at a supervisory\/specialist level as a System eveloper in EMCOpenText, Adobe LiveCycle Software, Architecture and Development either of the following:
\n\tEMC\/ OpenText, xPression, XCP, xPlore
\n\tDocument Content Server including BAM
\n\tAdobe LiveCycle Forms and Content \/ Presenter
\n\tRecords Manager
\n\tJava Development
\n\tWeb Application Server
\n\tExperience in designing system reporting.\u00a0
\n\tKnowledge of ITIL Framework.\u00a0
\n\tKnowledge of POPI Act.\u00a0
\n\tKnowledge of ERP, Documentum and Microsoft Environments.
\n\tKnowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Methodologies.
\n\tProject Management.
\n\tKnowledge of SQL Queries.\u00a0
\n\tKnowledge of Helpdesk System.
\n\tExperience in supporting custom systems such as Sage, Microsoft Great Plains, OpenText and related<\/p>\n
