Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMaster\u2019s Degree in English\/Linguistics\/Communications.
\n\t3 years relevant teaching experience at at Tertiary level and\/or 3 years experience in industry.<\/p>\n
Critical performance areas:<\/p>\n
\tLecturing and facilitation of class sessions
\n\tCandidates must demonstrate knowledge of assessing Graduate Attributes especially
\n\tGA6 with reference to the Qualification Standard for Bachelor of Engineering Technology (E-02-PT).
\n\tDevelop learning material and recommend appropriate technology
\n\tSetting and marking of all assessments.
\n\tGeneral administrative duties such as capturing of test and assignment marks on the
\n\tAssessment Management system and uploading documents on the Learning
\n\tManagement System
\n\tStudents\u2019 consultation.
\n\tParticipating in departmental and subjects meetings.
\n\tGuiding students on technical communication through mini projects and presentation
\n\tEngage in contextually relevant community activities
\n\tSubject documents filling.
\n\tRepresentation during ECSA visits.
\n\tAny other reasonable duties, as may be assigned by the Head of Department<\/p>\n
Knowledge and skills<\/p>\n
\tPractical knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning related to the acquisition of Academic and Occupational English.
\n\tA specialization in Language and Scientific report writing will be an advantage
\n\tRegistration with professional body (if applicable)
\n\tRegistration to a Professional Body will be an advantage.<\/p>\n
