Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDiploma in Nursing (Essential\/Minimum and)
\n\tDiploma in Occupational Health (Essential\/Minimum)
\n\t3 years of experience in Occupational Health Nursing, TB\/HIV related training, and TB\/HIV management (Essential\/Minimum)
\n\tPsychometric Assessment (Essential\/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
\n\tCertificate of Fitness (Essential\/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
\n\tRegistration with the South African Nursing Council (Essential\/Minimum)
\n\tRegistration with the South African Occupational Health Society (Essential\/Minimum)
\n\tPossession of a Dispensing License (Essential\/Minimum)
\n\tMembership in the SA Society for Occupational Health Nurses (Essential\/Minimum)<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tConduct comprehensive health assessments and manage employee medical records to ensure accurate tracking of health data.
\n\tDevelop and implement health promotion initiatives and educational programs to enhance employee awareness of occupational health and safety practices.
\n\tCollaborate with medical staff to provide effective support and management of workplace incidents, including emergency medical services.
\n\tMonitor employee exposure to hazardous substances and undertake health surveillances in collaboration with occupational hygienists.
\n\tEnsure strict compliance with relevant health regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies, maintaining high standards of governance and assurance.
\n\tFacilitate the implementation of TB, HIV, and other chronic disease management programs, including employee education and adherence to treatment plans.
\n\tManage the supply of medical resources and ensure their availability to meet the demand at clinics, while maintaining quality service delivery.
\n\tReport and investigate health and safety incidents, contributing to the development of a safe and healthy work environment.
\n\tAssist in the evaluation and continuous improvement of occupational health services, ensuring alignment with best practices and legislative standards.
\n\tPromote a culture of safety and health through ongoing employee engagement, counselling, and training on preventative care measures.<\/p>\n
